For those of you who did not know to look for this information under the Region I post.

It's time again for the annual Greeneville Invitational Tournament. This Saturday (12th), weigh-ins at 8:00 and wrestling beginning at 9:30. Last year the tournament was finished by 7:30 so the medal rounds will probably start at 5:00. It is shaping up to be a tough tournament. TDArtist predicts that there will be several weight classes where state quaifiers don't place in the top 8.

Listed below are the 18 teams who will be participating in the tournament:

Greeneville

Baylor

Franklin Road Academy

Seymour

Tuscola (North Carolina)

Virginia High (Virginia)

Morristown West

Jefferson County

Chuckey Doak

Marion (Virginia)

Clarksville

Sevier Co.

Cocke Co.

Here are some good places to eat in Greeneville:

Stan's BBQ (Coach's pick) - 2620 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

Chuck Wagon BBQ - 249 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

Cancun Mexican Restaurant - 915 W. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

J & E Italian Village - 93 Rufe Taylor Rd. - real good pizza, they also have a restuarant called the Mill Wheel attached. If you go, the pork is really good. Just don't ask how they make stuff, they are very secretive about their recipes.

The Farmer's Daughter - 7700 Erwin Hwy. - you will think you are lost, you are actually near Coach Brimer's house - great food, it's a community table, they bring bowls of potates, veggies, 3 meats, etc and you pass them around the table - did I forget to mention that the food was good? Call to make sure they are open - 423-257-4650

Brumley's (Located in the General Morgan Inn) - 111 N. Main St.

Drive along 11-E towards Johnson City and you will see the following familiar faces:

Applebees, Fatz Cafe, Zaxby's, and a host of fast food places.

or there is Chihuahua's right there buy the gym. In my opinion thats the best Mexican food in Greeneville I dont know the address i do know its across from the co-op. When you leave the school take a left you will get to a main road take a right, go down that road till you get to an intersection with rail road tracks, take the left at that intersection go down that road an it should be on your left across form the co-op. It take like 3 mins to get to from the school.

Don't forget that Greeneville Boosters has a great concession stand. They will be serving breakfast and hamburgers and other hot food all day. I just got back from a SAM's run to stock the stand. Plenty of good food right on site. Thanks in advance for helping us support our team. We are proud to serve you.
