Obviously a McCallie guy. Doesn't appreciate a lady in a sweater vest that may be a little to tight. Cupcake on behalf of BCB I would like to invite you to the next meeting he calls, and don't worry we won't even try to take your lunch money (disclaimer must be 21 or accompanied by a parent to attend).

R76, you are a Gentleman and I accept the invite! Breaking bread and drinking the fruit of the vine with good company is something I enjoy almost as much as wrestling!

Cupcake, If you go meet these two scoundrels before you know it you will have a $100 bar tab, a new million dollar life insurance policy that you don't need, and a wife who mysteriously starts talking about becoming swingers. You have been forwarned.

TM, That sounds like a win-win scenario! Please tell me more.

I'm sorry, I am a middle Tennessee guy, and we don't come across the mountains that much. I would love to know who Pinkstaff is. What weight does he wrestle, what grade is he in? I know he wrestles for CAK.

Also, during the state tournament, can you guys extend the invitation for one of your meetings. I would love to talk wrestling and peruse in the ways of our E. Tennessee brethren.(And I do not need to be accompanied by an adult)

TM There was a terrible mistake at the meeting you attended. Barecat thought I got the tab and I thought he got it, we never knew you had to get it until now. Give it another chance we'll make up for our mistakes BareCat is calling a meeting somewhere this Fri. come on out and leave your wallet at home (but bring your wife she is very nice)

R76, I wasn't scared off by TM's comment! It looks like a simple mistake/misunderstanding.

Now I'm not sure how this whole thing works. My wife is a little on the heavy side (I have her on a program, yet no results), but a really good talked once she has a few drinks. Should I bring her Friday night, or do we just phase her in over time?

Pinkstaff is a 8th grader and weighs about 160. he is one mighty fine wrestler and prob could place top 3 in state if he wrestled high school. If i had to guess pinkstaff would go to baylor

No offense to young Mr Pinkstaff but he would not place at all in the state of Tennessee high school tournament.

The only " state " some of you folks hyping these young kids are in is either denial or fantasy island.

A much better chance of it in DII rather than DI, but that's no secret.

I saw this kid at the McCallie Invite two years ago as a sixth grader. If I recall, the "former Raider" who is now empl... I mean attending EBE met him too and did not like the outcome.

I am sure some blind guy once bounced the ball off a tree for a hole in one at the local course but he won't be challenging Tiger Woods any time soon.

Give the kid time to develope without the BS.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
