In the 4th qtr, the clock ran continuously except for timeouts, injuries, or FT's (none attempted) as the 35 pt rule was in effect as MC had a three by McLean and Page failed to score as Marshall Co. won, 48-5.

After the game I talked with one of the Marshall parents and she said they (MC) had an off night. Well, what kind of night did Page have? I leave it to you to fill in the blank.

/flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Last night was a good win for Marshall County. However, they did have an off night mostly due to a couple of injuries. Although it wasn't a close game, the score could have been a blowout. Hey L and J, rest up for Friday night! Keep taking it to the Limit. Best of Luck to Page the rest of the season. Lots of love to all the Marshall County Tigerettes! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

It was a slightly off night for the Tigerettes (#5 in State AP Poll) as they only hit 5 threes instead of their average 7 in the previous 7 district games, but Lauren March played her normal consistent game and dominated the boards. Several players stepped up their game including Danika Hopkins and Kanesha McLean who scored more than their average. Highly-ranked teams have the support of other players when their stars have an off night. Page hopes to get back on track against non-district opponent Fairview on Thursday night before returning to district play on Friday against Hickman Co. in Centerville.

/blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> You live by the 3 and you die by the 3. Last night, MCHS didn't rely on the 3. Great Defense from Danika, Lauren and Jakerra - even though she played with a shoulder injury. As I said before, good teams don't rely on just one player - they are able to draw from other players who are able to step up. Marshall County is one of the few teams that have a lot of stars - they all have a special area where they excel. 3 players who are often unrated are McKenna Moffett - who is the play maker, Dricka O'Neal - who is as tenacious as a Pit Bull and Jakerra Simmons - who has the task of always guard the biggest and best every game - so in my book - they all are superstars! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Nothing says class like beating a team 48 to 5 and then getting on coacht and saying you had an off night. Hats off to Steeley who probably was on his cell phone calling his buddies before he got the court.

Shut up...This is the gayest thing I've ever heard. I can promise you Coach Steely cleared the bench. What else is he suppossed to do?? And one reason why MC is so good is that they show up with the mindset to dominate teams and not play down to their competition. So get rid of the sour grapes!!

Idiot....

The bench did get cleared. Early in the 4th and Page kept their first string in for a little and still couldn't score. Marshall County had a very off night. If they had played better this easily could have been worse then the 80-11 win over Culleoka.
