I don't know though, dins... the coaching might hold him back there! (ha ha! Just giving you a hard time Akula!)

Can't wait for our midnight game. I got some winter gear yesterday just for that game!

Oh yeah, that guy....Boy he has done a lousy job at Alcoa since he was named head coach! I renege on my last comment /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Moreover, he has an outstanding left peg, which is an asset by itself. Combine all these rare qualities with another year of experience, and I say that this kid will be, if nothing less, a big standout for Alcoa this year.

Pirate Derek and his outstanding left peg eh?? Im sorry but that just seemed really funny to me. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> That was just a hilarious typo. Im sure he will be good though.

I actually got a laugh from it, too. But I'll give Dins a break... that "l" button is awful close to that "p" button! "AAAAArg!"

And this is how a young man gets a new nickname. I can't wait for monday fitness now. He is never going to live down being Pirate Derek now. Yo Ho Yo Ho. But in all seriousness, you always enjoy having a kid like Derek, who works very hard to improve and never allows any praise to lessen his work ethic. It's a common theme on our team that makes them a joy to work with. Now we just have to find a way to replace 11 players from last years team. Yikes!!

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
