Pre-Season All State

I think the problem was that TNFC and Crush were in a higher "bracket" against tougher teams, so their win loss record can't really be compared to the other teams, since they played "easier" teams. (the reason they are in quotes is because I do not know if this is true, not to indicate sarcasm, which is usually saved for reaction or coniglio)

g you are correct psa memphis and ultra all played easier teams, no quotes straight truth. reaction: i don't know if retiredref knows what he is talking about or not but he did not put all the info out for people to make the right assumptions

The top 5 teams in the state went to CASL back in December:

Team...W/L/D

PSA.....2-1-0

MFC.....1-2-0

Lions....1-2-0

Crush...0-1-2

TNFC....0-2-1

Lot's of good players played against some of the best from other states. Draw your own conclusions.

Do these teams not square off at the state tourny or at least in the state league?

Sure he did. You just said it. Shows that the better of the 5 played harder competition...

well to draw their own conclusions retiredref, people must know all the facts which you clearly did not give. The way these tournaments work is depending on how you play in state and do in other tournaments, you are put in different levels of the tournament. TNFC and Crush both were in the top brackets i think TNFC played 3 state champions from other states and the Crush played Dallas Texans. while psa mfc and ultra were all in lower weaker brackets and accordingly played lower weaker teams. now everyone out there can make their own assumptions. i don't play for either crush or tnfc although if i was good enough, i would join their teams in a heartbeat but i'm not good enough. all this said psa and mfc and ultra are all good teams no doubt but when it comes to tennessee, tnfc and crush dominate and tnfc is better in my opinion b/c of what they have shown in recent matchups between the two

i'm not even on the team so its not an excuse its just the straight truth. this is such a dumb conversation if you don't think crush and tnfc are the main two good teams in the state you obviously don't know anything

He is just trying to get you all worked up. You guys just need to ignore him. Obviously he hasn't a clue of what he is talking about. Even the players on the other team know the truth. Maybe one of his children is on one of the other teams and he has rose colored glasses. And since he hasn't responed to any of your well thought and very informative post, it's obvious to me he now knows who the best teams in Tennessee are.

He is not playing with ETSU. I believe Grades and committment, not for sure about the why. He definitely is not playing anymore.

I Had Not been updated on that..Eddie Seems to have trouble keeping himself in line, he missed a couple games last year for smoking in school. I had heard he had commited to Masters college but then when ETSU brought in some foreign players it convinced him to stay close to home, i konw he played with them last year but i wasnt aware he was no longer with the program, my mistake.

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
