#3 Cordova vs. #6 Raleigh Egypt at 12:00

 

#2 Millington vs. #7 Arlington at 3:00

#4 Bolton vs. #5 Craigmont at 6:00

 

 

On Monday 2/18/08

#1Bartlett Plays the winner of Bolton and Craigmont at 6:00.

 

On Tuesday 2/19/08

 

The winner of the Millington vs Arlington game plays the winner of the Cordova vs Raleigh Egypt game at 6:00.

 

On Wednesday 2/20/08

 

The girls consolation game will be at 6:00 and the championship game will be at 7:30.

No coach of the year at this moment. It was decided to do it after the district tournament. I have the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team all district names. I will post them in a little bit. I'm not sure if a "player of the year was decided it was a very close vote. Much closer than in years past.

Bolton had an explosive offensive game with an 88 to 57 win over Craigmont.

 

So far it's been a good tournament with some good games.

I didn??™t make it to the first round of the tournament ??“ but I heard the officials were off the chain! It is my understanding that they called 61 fouls in the girls Bolton / Craigmont game and the boys Bolton / Bartlett game never had any flow due to excessive touchy fouls. However they did say the officials were consistent on both ends (just called REALLY REALLY touchy fouls).

 

Hopefully they will ease up in the semi-finals and finals!

Touchy isn't the word. They lost control early in the 2nd half and decided they were going to impose marshall law. There were 5 technical fouls issued in the 3rd qtr ( 4 to Craigmont, 1 to Bolton) and honestly only a couple were warranted. It was silly and a few of us sitting next to the hospitality room were concerned that an altercation would occur due to the over-reaction by the men in stripes. Thankfully, nothing did.

After a very sluggish start, Bartlett defeats Bolton 49-32 to advance to the championship game on Wednesday where they will face the winner of the Millington-Cordova semifinal to be played tomorrow night. At this point all four teams have secured bids for the regional tournament.
