My advice to some: be confident yet humble. Always be willing to give credit to others.

Most importantly, don't alienate your coaches and team mates. Keep a positve attitude and don't blame others.

Baseball is by far the toughest sport because so many skills are required. Always strive to improve.

If your good...others will do the bragging for you. Let your bat do your talking.....

Very well said!! I dont think anyone should predict the outcome of a players year before he s played a regular season game , sure theres some better than others but to flat out predict the season come on. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Well I'm not Zarzour's dad but I've watched him play a little bit during the past couple of summers and I think that the 15 year old select team that he plays for has been allowing him and others to see a lot better pitching then he might see from most of the high school pitchers today. I'm a huge fan of Ooltewah and it was work to talk about a player being better than his team but he is the next big thing at Ooltewah... Oh and maybe this year we don't have to have tranfers to make our baseball good....See where that went last year. Oh yea OWL PRIDE your comment sounds like it came out of book about baseball!!!!! Don't forget we are only talking about sophmores!!!

It actually comes from the book of "life" not baseball. Baseball indeed teaches life lessons. As soon as you think you have this game figured out it will humble you.

zz-i've never known you to brag on yourself....you don't have to. go out and do your thing and let everybody else do the talking. Ooltewah has a good looking group of sophomores that might take their lumps early this season. We need to be thinking TEAM at the moment and not thinking about who is the best player, best sophomore, fastest runner, highest batting average, best pitcher et al

All of those things will sort itself out in due time. Right now, it's important for the team to discover some chemistry and for individuals to understand their roles...whatever it might be. This is a team sport and it's about winning games. You know as well as I that the Owls are going to have to pick it up in the next few days. I would say the coaches are not happy at the moment with any facet of the game. Good luck and here's to an outstanding season.....

The best sophmore in Tennessee baseball right know is the short stop for Ooltewah. He's the real deal.... He will have the highest batting average than any other kid at Ooltewah and he's played ss since he was a freshman. He gets a GREAT jump on the ball and he also will be the fastest on the team... Watch out Chattanooga!!

Isn't Brady Reed just a sophmore also. I think he is a pretty dang good sophmore too. Brady did start on a Baylor team as a freshman that was awful good. He is one of the better sophmores in the state also.

Ooltewah has several sophomores that are going to get looked at in the next couple of years. I think every senior on last season's squad got a scholarship somewhere.
