lol...What are you talking about? White Co beat siegel three times this year. DC has nothing to do with this game. DC is AA not AAA. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

It's a home game for Siegel ... even more so than Antioch.

Siegel beat the only team to get past Dyer County after the jamboree season was over..

I love how CoachT.com is like the seven degrees of Dyer County basketball.

Dec. 7 White Co. 62, Siegel 57

Jan. 18 White Co. 78, Siegel 71

Feb. 19 White Co. 86, Siegel 77

7-AAA championship

Oh Yeah

Feb. 28 Siegel 83, White Co. 75

I Guess 1 out of 4 ain't bad.. When you loose to a team 3 times. You had better beat them the 4th round...

If Antioch plays up to their level. They win by about 16.

But it is state, weird things can happen. Teams go cold, Teams get hot, Some teams seem to have the IT factor.

On Paper, Antioch should win comfortably. But Siegel is playing their best ball of the season in a home game at Murphy Center with a team that seems to have the moxy to pull an upset like this.

I'm not optimistic as a Siegel fan, but its possible.

Antioch by 5 in a close one, but I hope Siegel wins this one though. I expect Cutter to have a big game becuase he's used to playing against this kind of comepetition in AAU and Cutter has had state tourney experience two times already. Montori, Kerry, Gooch, and Tate are going to have to be on their "A" game and not get caught up in all the hype. Montori is going to have to be a beast in the post and on the boards. Kerry, Gooch, and Tate are going to have to knock down shots, play solid defense, and handle the ball. Harris will have the Stars ready come Thursday night. Siegel Nation also needs to be a factor too. Go Stars /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I am putting my money on the Stars. They are gelling right now and playing their best bball ever. No one expects them to win, so they have absolutely NO pressure on them. Because they don't........they will pull the big upset. If Antioch underestimates them and looks ahead, it will be by as many as 7. Go Stars!

Have seen them both play multiple times and I have to go with Antioch. It could be closer than some think. Key will be how Siegel responds if they get down early.

Antioch by 15

No...the key will be if Antioch gets down early!!!!! Go Siegel!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Dyer Co. is one of the best basketball teams I've ever seen.On a given night Dyer could beat anyone even AAA reams. White Co, was fortunate to get that win. The only thing lacking with Dyer is a true big man but they make up for the size disadvantage with blazing speed. White Co. tried to play with 5 players every game the coach wouldn't give his bench any playing time at all and I told him it would bite him and it did. Good players quit the team because of this attitude. He thought he could win the state with 5 players it ain't happening. Ok I got that off my chest now. Siegel will be playing at home. I will be greatly surprised if they don't get the gold ball this year. Antioch I wouldn't get too cocky.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
