Spring practice is getting near, any news out of Red Devil Land? It has been dead on here especially since there has been a OC change. Will the type of offense change? Since a coach is leaving will there be a new one hired?

Because they are rumors I don't want to mention any specific names. You know how rumors are, sometimes they are based in fact and sometimes not. So I don't feel it isn't appropriate to give any details at this time.

 

 

Well that's never stopped you from doing so on other regional teams.

I noticed towards the end of the year last year that Halls seemed to run out of the shotgun a bit...kind of looked like a spinning offense from the action of the QB. Is Halls moving towards more of that or what?

Folks, I've been talking to several folks at the very center of Red Devil Football. Here are some things Red Devil Fans need to be aware of...

 

1. The new facility is likely to be ready before the season begins this fall.

2. There will be tons of NEW OPPORTUNITIES for supporters of Red Devil Football to get involved; with their time, money, or lending support in their professional area of expertise.

3. This will be the year to get plugged in because the energy is high among the coaches and players, the talent is deep, and the opportunity for parents and other boosters is limitless.

 

Come to the scrimages above and stop by and talk to the folks in the Stadium Club to find out the specifics.

 

2008 could be a year you'll not soon forget.

Who are the two may scrimmages against?

The 9th is Dobynns-Bennett, and the 16th is TBA

Any news on how much the offense will change with the new OC? New OC might want to do things a little different, everyone has their own way of doing things. Will there be any new additions to the staff? Since they hired OC from within is there not room to hire another coach?

I believe the offense will remain the Wing-T. The O-Coord may have changed but the Head Coach has not; and that is a good thing. No doubt losing Wesley Kitts hurts, but there's depth returning at RB. The Red Devil Offense should be competitive.

 

The Defense will determine how far this team goes this Fall.

It appears the coaching staff is determined to "turn it up a notch".

They are working very hard on overall team speed & strength this offseason.

 

Team speed should be helped by the upcoming first annual Halls All-Sports Speed Camp to be held Friday & Saturaday April 25 & 26.

The boys are working harder than ever, I see it every day.

They feel it, the coaches feel it, the boosters feel it.

 

The rising Senoir class has some outstanding leaders to make sure the effort Will be there.

Now we need put up or shut up.
