Reggie Buckner has been on the front page of rivals & scout. com this spring. He is on the front page of scout right now with a monster performance in Dallas, TX this past weekend. All the High Major Schools have noticed and been calling him. Buckner is close to 6'9 now and looks like he is still growing.

I have been saying it all year. Now the great ones are saying the same thing.

Awesome Job to him!

According to scout, schools interested in him are:

Arizona, Kentucky, Memphis, Middle Tenn. State, Missouri, and UTEP

According to scout, he's a 3-star player as of now. If they are posting front page articles on him, like they did today, he will be up to a 5-star recruit by the end of the Summer.

Maybe he'll stay in Memphis and play for Calipari! Do you have any idea on what school he is leaning to or has he even discussed it with anyone? Good Luck to him in AAU ball and keep those rankings going up!!!

I stated this season, after watching him only one time before the state tournement, that he would be a consensus top 50 recruit. I think he can play all five positions if asked to do so and I also think he will be a big defensive presence once in college. I see a little Jarvis Vardado in him as far as defense. The sky is the limit for Reginald Buckner /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

this is what the story on scout. com said

scout. com

Reggie Buckner, PF, Memphis YOMCA It would be tough to top Buckner's evening performance against the Rockets. The 6-foot-8 post prospect scored in the paint, swatted shots and hit the glass. When the dust settled, Buckner finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks in the double-digit win.

Reginald Buckner, PF, Memphis YOMCA

Long and lean, Buckner carries a big presence on the court both on the defensive end and the offensive end. Offensively, Buckner is a slasher who is comfortable with the ball. Defensively, he can move his feet on the perimeter as well as protect the rim with his shot-blocking ability.

The one weakness in his game appears to be a hesitancy to shoot the ball from outside. But as a versatile player in the mold of former Florida forward Corey Brewer, Buckner will certainly improve as an outside shooter and gives a provides so many other ingredients in a winning recipe.

When people saw Buckner's High school stats some said they were JUICED. Well, he did this playING against some of the best prep players in the nation. He also did it in the state tourney. NOW DO EVERYONE BELIEVE ME.

BUCKNER WAS ALSO LABELED ON SCOUT. COM AS THE TOP STOCK BOOSTER FOR THE CLASS OF 2009

Tigers Move On Forward

Reggie Buckner Profile

The Missouri Tigers are moving quickly on a power forward. Reggie Buckner, a live-bodied kid out of Memphis Manassas, received an offer from the Tigers this week.

After strong showings on the circuit in April, Buckner peaked the interest of many a head coach. On Wednesday, Missouri??™s Mike Anderson put the offer on the table to Buckner.

Hot off the press scout. com May 1, 2008

Buckner Gets Noticed - Our first look at Reggie Buckner, a 2008 prospect, was at Boo Williams at the beginning of April, since then the 6-foot-8 power forward has been on a mission. In Dallas he had his full game working, as he was scoring inside, running the floor and blocking shots. He??™s creeping up the power forward list

Local Star Making Noise Nationally!

By Alvertis London 5/1/08

About twelve years ago, a tall skinny kid about 6'8" by the name of Tracy McGrady came out of nowhere and within one summer of delomishing the hoop circuit was the top player in the nation! He went on to be a lottery pick out of high school, and the rest is, well you get the picture. Fast forward. With the month of April coming and going, a certain player from Memphis in the class of 2009 has everybody talking, and its not who you think! After incredible performances in three major events, Reginald Buckner has exploded onto the national scene and is no longer just a local standout! The 6'8" forward from Manassas High has been nothing but spectacular going up against some of the nation's elite.

At the Boo Williams Invitationals on Hampton, Va, Buckner led the Memphis YOMCA to the championship game of the Silver Division scoring 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and blocking 4 shots! He hit 3-4 freethrows to seal the victory and had 6 dunks including a thunderous windmill! Unapproved Website listed Buckner as one of the 'Top Surprises' at Boo Williams and did a feature on him. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

After the Boo Williams Invitational, Buckner traveled with the Memphishoopers.com Team to Houston ,Tx and competed in the Nike Kingwood Classic. Reggie, as most of his peers and coaches call him, had a great showing leading the Memphishoopers to the sweet 16, only to bow out to the YOMCA TIGERS in a double- overtime thriller. Colleges such as Arizona, Ole Miss, Florida, UTEP, MTSU, and Missouri attended all of Buckner's games and had nothing but good things to say about the rising senior! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Finally, Buckner was back on the court with the Memphis YOMCA in Dallas, Tx at the Next Level Ballers Tourney last weekend. Once again Reggie was one of the stars who shined the brightest, putting up, perhaps, the top performance of the tournament. The multi-talented forward almost had a tripple double, registering 17 points, 10 rebounds and 8 blocks in leading the 'Y' to a double-digit victory. Scout.com even features Buckner on their front page after the event.

With the way he's playing and at the rate he's doing it, the sky is the limit for Reginald Buckner, and with the summer circuit just around the corner, could this be the next Tracy McGrady? Stay tuned! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

First of all when I saw him play in the state championship I thought he was better than Ferrokhan Hall and Hall is pretty good. I think if Buckner devlops an outside game and puts on about 10-20 lbs by the end of his freshman year of college he will be a millionaire before he is 20
