Perry County traveled to Dyersburg and played in a jamboree against Lake County.

The Vikings rushed for 220 yards in only two quarters with 3 touchdowns

Defense still has some rough edges, but did have a crucial stop on 4th and 3; with less than a minute to go.

The Vikings had the ball with 58 seconds left on the clock, the ball was on the Vikings 46 yard line.

The Vikings then marched down the field and scored from 9 yards out with only 4 seconds left on the clock.

It was a great game and had alot of emotion from Perry County, They defeated Lake County 19-13

With that I would like to bring up some facts-

Perry County is 2-0-1 in the scrimages so far, but are ranked 9th in most pre season standings

Columbia Academy beat Community in a scrimmage earlier this summer, but Huntland lost to them last night.

Zion should have the best team they have ever had this year but I doubt you got a true look at their talent against Lancaster Christian. Their QB is accurate if given time to throw.

Zion is much improved this year, as are we. Yale's assessment of the Eagles is pretty accurate...our d-line is very good and got a lot of pressure on their QB, but he got the ball out quickly and was very accurate.

Zion beat LCA last night 28-27 in a second scrimmage...great game decided in the last minute. Both teams should have better seasons than last year. I think Zion could surprise and win 4-5 games. LCA, given our less-than-stellar schedule, has no excuse not to win at least 8 games. David Brainerd Christian and King's Academy will both be tough, and I don't underestimate newcomer Franklin Classical.

Tennessean has us ranked 10th. Hope we prove everybody wrong.

Good luck, Vikings!
