redhawk1
There are teams that can be had in a district that is not exactly "loaded" beyond Harpeth & Sycamore. Creek Wood lost a ton to graduation. Yeah but we got 2 tons that were subs last year and may end better than the group that just left and what's your idea of loaded? Redhawk, I'm definitely not talking about tonage, but how is Xavier D. doing this summer? X has played great. We've played a really tough schedule this summer(4 of our days were in west tn) and he has handled the pressure against everyone. After being here for a year, he finally has a feel for everything and is gonna be tough to guard. You from East Lit where he went his freshman year? CoachF
Yes, and I hated to see him go. He is a great kid. I wish him and your team the best.
philmeyer
Did anybody see the Tennessean last week where they had Sycamore being moved out of our district? If they get moved out that should really open up the race for the district. Also, don't you think Fairview should be tough this year? They had it going on last year til some of their best guys got hurt. From what I've heard, Creek Wood will be moving up to AAA, which would leave a 6 team district unless TSSAA moves someone else into the district. Creek Wood and Dickson will be a great rivalry if both are in the same district. Why wasn't East Hickman added to the district instead of sending them south? They are close to everyone in the district except Stewart County, which no one is close to Dover.
ksgovols
There's been speculation that Creekwood and Sycamore would grow out of AA. I think Creekwood can control that somewhat since they have an open zone. They would like to stay under 1000 students and remain in AA from what I've heard. The Sycamore guys I talked to last week weren't unhappy about moving. Greenbriar, White House and Springfield are easy commutes for them. My guess is that they'll maintain rivalries with Harpeth, Cheatham and Creekwood if they can. East Hickman is a natural for this district. I don't understand why they are going south either. Hope everybody made it through camp healthy.

Bolivar, Liberty Tech, Mitchell, Fulton, & Giles Co. are all teams that traditionally fit the definition for "loaded" when it comes to basketball season. deerhunter88
The reason you put SC in front is your obviously from SC. SC looks like they are on a backwards pace. They looked better last year and if you think Smith could get MVP, you must not get out of SC very much or you just don't know anything about basketball. And we all know about how the new coach got hired to make sure Craig gets enough playing time regardless of his ability and terrible attitude. What's your problem? Yes I have seen SC quite a lot this summer and they have had very good games and then some very bad ones. The games they played at MC where they played teams they play during the year the looked very good except against CA and at points HC. Yes, I do believe Dylan Smith can get MVP. He has played outstanding and I believe could average a double-double. This team has 8 seniors and 2 very good sophomores. Why do you have such a grudge against Taylor Craig? He has earned his playing time. To be honest I think he should start over some of the players because he actually works on his game during practice. He has taken advantage of his playing time. He is 6'2 athletic forward who can handle the ball and rebound well. Oh and trust I know plenty about ball and I'm sure if your from SC you know me and you know as well I know more about sports than pretty much every student at our high school. I have been around sports since I was born and been in a coaching family and around plenty of teams and coaches. If you ask them they will say them so next time you come and run your mouth think before you say something about someone else or a player that has worked his butt off and no this is not Taylor Craig I can gurantee you that one. Sorry for the rest of you guys but what was said about reclassification? If it does happen it wouldnt come into effect until next year right? Otherwise schedules would be very messed up. Dickson would be a great rivalry now if they had the guts to play us.

This sounds like a biased person who can not handle the truth. Smith is a decent player on a mediocore team, thats the truth. He's not a (AA) MVP. At the end of the year you will see for yourself. Then we will see who knows basketball.

I agree also that Sycamore doesn't mind moving districts. I know they don't like travel to Stewart County or Waverly. Makes sense for them to move and then keep rivals like you said. Harpeth has had a pretty good summer so far. Hopefully, will keep working hard.
