5A jamborees are not practical with current geographic alignment. Too much travel expenses to play one quarter.

Sevier County will participate in the Blount Co. jamboree. I think against Alcoa.

If you go up the interstate there is a Ruby Tuesday, and a good seafood restaurant called Captain's Galley at the Jefferson City exit (that is where we usually eat if we don't eat in Knoxville). If you go up 11E there is not much to choose from other than several fast food restaurants. There is Gondolier Italian and El Sazon Mexican close to the Wal Mart (which is just past the campus). There are several decent restaurants at the Strawberry Plains exit (Outback, Ruby Tuesday, Puleo's).

 

Captains Galley is first recommendation.

The only Jamboree I could see DB participating in is the Mountain Lakes, which already has 8 teams in conference participating. Seeing that, it doesn't make fiscal sense for DB to participate in any other Jamboree, on any level. That could change next year, however, with district realignment.

GC told the team that they should get down there at about 5:00 and it should start at about 5:15 or 5:20 and go for about 2 hours.Both teams will then get trash bags and go behind their fans for about twenty minutes after the scrimmage,no joke.Fans pick up your trash so these kids can get home.

Thanks for the scrimmage information. This should be a true test of Maryville's run defense and hopefully help us hone in on a starting QB! My schedule has changed and I might not get away in time. So thanks ahead of time for all of you who help out with a re-cap and analysis. Special thanks to "The Black Hole" for the video clips.

Everyone going up needs to remember I-40 is closed downtown. My suggestion is to take John Sevier to Strawberry Plains. It will take you 10-15 minutes longer but it beats getting to I-640 and all the traffic that is on it.
