fredjones
Did anyone go to either of these? if so, please give a report. No coverage in the Tennessean or the Daily news journal. The gannett papers don't care about high school athletics.

SACKEDBYME
McGavock beat Hillsboro 20-7. Burros held out many starters. East Lit beat Glencliff I think.
bellgo
Information about the Wilson Central Jamboree is on their football website: http://www.wccatsfootball.com/calendar.html
2priceless
I would hold out my starters too. No reason to get your big dogs injured in a game that means absolutely nothing. In my opinion, every single kid on the sidelines deserves a chance to play in the jamboree. Any coach that doesn't let the sidelines loose in a jamboree to chalk up an empty win is an egotist, especially when the other team is playing their all their young kids. The kids deserve to play under the lights too. Sort of like a reward ! How did the Wildcats look, and who do yall open up with?

I saw a lot of old friends that I haven't seen in years. It was a good start for the teams that played. I bet half the teams were spread out. Not too many wing-t teams left. HesterBeSeeinULater
Pearl Cohn defeated Hillwood 12-0. The Firebirds played without the services of Holt, Fitzgerald, Amos, and a couple of other players that are projected starters down the line. Coach Brunetti is doing a great job at PCHS. If the Firebirds go deep into the playoffs this year he honestly deserves to win "Coach of the Year" because he has already gone to the semifinals twice and last year he did it with a completely different football team than the one that he had in 2006 (outside of Mason, Griffin, & Harris). The 2008 team is completely different than the 2007 bunch as well.
