Baylor Tourney

Baylor 6 Hutchison 1

Caroline Scales gets hat trick for Baylor

Notre Dame 5 Ensworth 4

Ensworth score 3 goals in the last 15 minutes after being down 5-1.

There was certainly no quit in the Ensworth team.

Kris Cambron 6 goals (hat trick in last game)

Danielle Ciabattone 1 goal 4 assists

Darcy Brannen 1 goal 1 assist

Carey Leiper 1 goal

It was brutaly hot out there today as the center ref went down with heat exhaustion.

Great offense againest Ensworth, but I didn't think anyone could score 4 goals againest the fighting leprechauns. Sounds like a good weekend for Baylor and ND.

Wouldn't you guess that being up 5-1 with 15 minutes left that N.D. had subbed in some of the back ups? Not to take anything away from scoring that number of goals in that little time, but I don't think it reflects poorly on Notre Dame. I just think the had shifted into cruise control a bit early, and the other team didn't quit.

I don't know much about Ensworth, though, so it is hard to say.

I know alot of ND so called backup players and they are just as good as most anyone's starters.

G, that is a very fair assessment of the game.

yep thats what happened. nd, especially the backs and mids, got tired and just couldnt clear the ball. but to their defense, two of those last three goals were very good shots. the players aren't too happy with the win, but coach was pretty pleased with the tourney itself.

    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
