As an alumni of BA, I want to CONGRATULATE RAVENWOOD! What a SHOCKER! I heard Ravenwood drove the length of the field in the last 2 minutes to win. After a loss to Goodpasture, what a way to come back! BA needs some serious soul searching......I was at the CPA game watching Ensworth destroy them, but could not believe the score I saw on coacht.....I heard BA is loaded with athletes, but Ravenwood had the most heart.

While not at this game, I was at the Independence game last week. BA looked weak in that game too. I was hoping that it was due to a lack of passing game, which was brought on by a 3rd string QB. Unfortunately, it appears that it goes deeper than that. The BA secondary played very poorly in week one, and it sounds like Ravenwood picked up on that and was able to really move the ball. If BA expects to win games on kick returns, they are very, very mistaken.

OK guys.....no disrespect, but here is the new name for Brian Rector on CoachT.......BR549........may be too much for you guys to spell......but my HUGE inside source from the Ravenwood qb club camp tells me that you MOMS and DADS need to "drink the Koolaid"...tell your kids "I believe in You and this team!"......if you were there....you know what I am talking about........BELIEVE IN THIS PROGRAM......Brian is a great coach....I am sure that there is a little sting in the salt from the hiring decision and Rector not getting an interview from what I hear....Potter is a great coach and he is where he is for a reason, but I am sure tonight he is thinking about this loss......this loss is a huge pill for BA to swallow. Hate to say it, but it had to happen some day...just glad my time was 25 years ago.. (1/4 of a CENTURY).... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Talk about shot heard around the state. This should not have happened with all that talent BA has. I don't know details but was it an interception/fumble problem?

BUD...I don't know the details, but this is not good news for BA......I have heard they have had problems for the past few weeks starting at the Hillsboro scrimmage. But....again.......my views for the past few years........MAJOR athletes....no heart.......it is my understanding from my sources....same old stuff......BIG time athletes......no heart. No - 1 turnover. The BA offense just never could get on track (1 touchdown all night -- 2 touchdowns on kick returns by #5 Josh Pleasant). The defense played OK, but when the chips were down couldn't make the stop. Ravenwood drove 80 yards in 1+ minutes and converted the 2 point for the win. No excuses -- this BA team has the chance to be good, but Ravenwood was the better team tonight.

      Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!

      In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
