I know Dyersburg did not have much of an opponent this week, but they sure looked good. This is a big early region game. Lets here it.

simply put - dyersburg will have their hands full....

haywood will be a tuff game for the trojans...... my question, is this young offensive group ready to play haywood? only they can answer that..... but one thing for sure, they had better be ready casue the tomcats will be ready for them!!!!

Haywood will be Haywood...Big,Strong and Fast...and Athlete for Athlete...They will HAVE MORE than Dyersburg...But it all comes down to: Who makes the least mistakes....Who is MORE DISCIPLINED?...And who will be in BETTER SHAPE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER?....Out of the three....I will put my money on Dyersburg on that last one...From what I hear...You will be hard pressed to find a team who will be in BETTER SHAPE when that fourth quarter rolls around...GO TROJANS... I know it is the YOUNGEST TEAM ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL THAT I CAN REMEMBER FOR DYERSBURG....Playing at Brownsville will present a big challenge...Can't wait...

Haywood is going to be very tough. They are big, fast, and strong. The young offense at Dyersburg will be tested for sure. The Trojans will have to play tough and extremely well to leave Brownsville with a win. If our young kids step up we can keep the game close, if not Haywood will beat us. Go Trojans!!

This will be an extremeley stiff test for the young Trojans. They'd better be prepared for a physcial battle. Haywood isn't accustomed to losing back to back games, so DHS will be strolling into a hornet's nest. Haywood is probably the most physically imposing team in the region. Make no mistake about it, it will take a monumental effort for Dyersburg to have a chance to win. I've never seen a Counce coached team back down or concede anything to anybody though, so NEVER count them out. I look for a WAR, and the young Trojans will come out of it with a greater understanding of what it takes to compete at a very high level.

haywood graduated a lot of seniors last year and are young also this year so i predict that whoever makes the least amount of mistakes (as young squads usually do) will win the game.

dyersburg was not tested in their first game and haywood has been in two wars, which will figure into the contest.

i say..

Haywood 28

Dyersburg 7

Let's go Trojans!!! In an upset, they go to Brownsville and steal the victory.

Both teams lost tons of talent due to graduation..upset or not it'll be another tradition filled game..

IMO DHS wins in A "SLOBBER-KNOCKER"..nothing new about that tho between these two region 7AAA foes..

Haywood has played 2 good teams gaining much needed experience...DHS has played only once against a sub-par team...so one hasnt too much to go on comparsion-wise..

Lets go Trojans..it time for Trooojjann Footbaall "

ONE GAME AT A TIME YOUNG MEN OF TROY...PLAY WITH HEART, DESIRE, ONE PLAY AT A TIME..

GO TROJANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haywood is the worst offensive coached team in the region and its not close. If some other coaches in the region had that talent you could mail them the state title. That belly play sure is genious. He got that off remember the Titans I think. I hope Haywood wins, because they aren't very good this year and that tells me exactly where Dyersburg is this season. Haywood struggled to beat JCM. JCM is horrible. Ask Southside!

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
