You must have been one serious female in your day! How did you come to be an expert on the greatest game in the world? Did you have a babe on the gridiron?

Dad coached HS ball in Mississippi so I grew up on the sidelines.Hubby played college baseball @ The Citadel and coached a bit in South Carolina after his pro career was over. My son played baseball @ Farragut and Bearden. Never missed a high school, college game growing up...still don't miss too many. Just waitin' on the grands to start playing.

And I'm STILL one serious female honey. /sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" /> /sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" /> /sleep.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="-_-" border="0" alt="sleep.gif" />

You are correct, I do know everything and can't help if you are, well, a moron---don't get your panties in a wad--you said it, not me.. As for "undergrad engineering and business schools"---yelp I already knew that too. Thanks, though, but don't bother telling me anything---I already know it.

All-right hold on-------seriously, I respect your opinion and I appreciate your comments about smaller and local colleges/universities. There are alot of fine colleges and Universities that don't have "U of " tied to it and I concede that point. My point--which you may not have understood was meant to be----I would rather be a normal student at a "Great" university (no matter how I got there--water boy, academic scholarships, or whatever) than have a "football scholarship" at a lesser school---just trying to make a point that Academics is of the most importance, playing football is secondary. Can we be friends, now??? I'm really a pretty nice guy. Oh, and thought your Devils played really good Friday night.

Well next time you see one of these high dollar schools giving schollys for being truly magnificent, would you let me know....I am always looking to expand my horizons....maybe they have a granny scholarship

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
