If you want to move up in the Eurosport rankings play (and lose to) Soddy Daisy. Soddy beat ND and Cleveland and both of those teams moved up. Riverdale beat Soddy in a close match and moved down.

You have just given me insight to figure Eurosport out. It is a weighted average. Weighted by the coaches that respond and they don't go out of their way to get facts beyond the teams with which they are familiar. The better they know a team, the better the rank they get. Think?

Euro's rankings, moves up or down, etc. aren't supposed to make sense. Think of it as the federal governement, and it will all make more sense....

Hold on now, H2odog... this might be the truth with some of the coaches, but I, for one, spend a WHOLE lot of time doing research, reading articles, and reading up on scores across the state before I submit my "top 10". I might be the only one who does this, but please give some coaches the benefit of the doubt. I don't think ANYONE has found an accurate way to rank teams (does the NSCAA yet?!?) but besides MJUHB, this is the only other one we have.

Not trying to start anything with you, H2o, just wanted to let you know that there are some coaches that put a lot of thought into it.

MVM, the sad thing is, that the more I study the rankings, the more I am starting to join in your camp (I just DON'T get some of the placements...). Now, I usually only study the A/AA, but has anyone researched if one division has a more accurate ranking than another (AAA being better than A/AA?) Just curious.

Never thought about stepping on your toes. Sometimes, I forget to put the /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> in some of my comments. It was meant to be "tongue in cheek". BUT, it is obvious something is causing the rankings to be out of whack. Now when BBB and CCC look so close to all of us, it's hard to a argue which is a definitive #1 or #2. But Baylor #5, is either an entry error or a regional bias. Which is my last point. I know they won't tell us who the voters are, but I would hope there is equal representation across the state. In fact Captain G, I put you number 2 to Master MJ, because you are the most fairest in the kingdom.

Oh yeah:::::::::: /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I am flattered (or disturbed)... depends on how you used "fairest" in the context.

"G" You stated that you only study the A/AA, but I know you keep up with all 3 divisions, but for argument sake lets stick with A/AA for now. I must admit I don't keep up with A/AA so any help from other posters would be appreciated.

Now, reading posts from other posters we have all agreed (for the most part) that MJ is the master of rankings. So lets compare MJ's rankings to Euro's.

EURO'S Ranking...........................MJ'S Ranking

1 Notre Dame 4-1-0 ..................1

2 Franklin Road Acad. 6-1-1........3

3 Chatt. Christian 4-0-1 .............4

4 CAK 5-1-1 .............................2

5 CPA 0-4-2 .............................10

6 Knox Catholic 4-2-2................6

7 USJ 4-1-0 ..............................5

8 David Lipscomb 3-2-1.............16

9 Jackson Christian 3-1-0...........9

10 Hume-Fogg 1-0-2..................18

11 Page 5-1-0 ...........................19

11 Goodpasture Christian 0-1-0 ...Can't find this team in MJ'S Poll???

MJ'S poll

1 Notre-Dame

2 CAK

3 FRA

4 CCS

5 USJ

6 Knox Catholic

7 Madison

8 Station Camp

9 JCS

10 CPA

11 Seymour

12 Hixson

13 Columbia Academy

14 Livington

15 Westview

16 David Lipscomb

17 Kingston

18 Hume-Fogg

19 Page

20 Harpeth

21 White House Heritage

22 Montgomery Central

23 MTCS

24 Covington

25 Chuckey-Doak

???? I'm shaking my head....... where to start. The two polls are so far apart...I'm not familier with many of these teams, can someone explain to me why a team that is 0-1-0 even in the poll?
