Lets get this one started early. I think this is going to be an awesome game and, though it is still six days away, I can hardly wait. It is good to be playing Smyrna again. It is always alot of fun to play the Region 4 schools.

What are your thoughts on the game? Any insight on Smyrna Football 2008?

Smyrna has played some very good competition. The Smyrna defense looks battle tested and the Gallatin offense has been lighting it up so this makes for a good inner squad matchup. Gallatin's defense has been getting better every week but will need to bring their "A' game to stop Jeremiah Bryson and the rushing attack of the Bulldogs. Special teams could be even. Take into the fact of the past history between these two teams and you have yourselves the making of a really good ball game.

Should be a very interesting match-up. Both teams run eerily similar offenses, with the exception of Smyrna throwing a bit more. Kudos to Lassiter for letting Cody air it out a few more times against Glencliff(even though they weren't necessary). I think it will help in the long run. We have 4 wr's over 6'2", and we should make db's fear them. Overall, we look great lately. Smyrna.... Ahh smyrna. Big lines on both sides, but I have a feeling-based on the blocking by Gallatin so far- that running the ball on the bulldogs shouldn't be a problem. Gallatin wins this one 27-16

    • To be fair to the head coach, he may have submitted his roster of players to the AD and the AD with the help of a counselor checks the academic status of each player then submits to the TSSAA.  Some coaches do not submit eligibility status on the TSSAA portal
    • Has does the AD still have a job at the school. Someone had to submit eligibility rosters to the TSSAA before the season starts.  That’s usually submitted by the AD along with head coach.  Someone submitted the ineligible student and was listed as eligible.  That will come out soon as it can be checked on the TSSAA portal who submitted the eligibility status of all players.
    • Your lucky, my head hit my desk….. desk is fine.
    • This is my ranking, not computer generated. I factored in how poorly that region competed in postseason play…which is why Loretto and LC didn’t make the cut. Loretto is probably 11 though.
    • They are absolutely loaded! If you look at their season schedule I don’t think an Instate team has beat them! They have many D1 commits! With the best Coach in the state I don’t see anyone stopping them for a 3-peat!!!
