Dyer County vs Haywood

Despite losing to Chester County, Dyer County will be ready for this game. Having seen Haywood already this year, winning for the Choctaws will become reality if the defense comes together and the offense steps up. No slight intended against the Tomcats, but honestly they are a mediocre team on both sides of the ball, or at least they were a few weeks ago. A win by Dyer County will lift the Choctaws into the top spot in the Region 7 rankings, while a loss could snowball into something the squad doesn't want to have happen. Should be a great game and would be the game of the week if Dyersburg and Ripley weren't playing as well. Choctaws win a thriller, 20-14.

last time the tomcats came to newbern, they shut us out. will they do it again? will dyer county seek revenge?

nope, havent forgot that at all. but i believe whoever wins this game will have momentumum going into the other region games. hopefully your tigers will pull it out over dyersburg this week.

good to know that you think haywood is mediocre, and they may be, but i dont think thats the mentality dyer county needs to go in with to this one. this is one opponent we should all be very weary about because we all know what happened last november when the tomcats came to town. that score sounds like a good one though. i see this game won by a touchdown, with haywood defense allowing 14 ppg so far this season, thats the only prediction ill make.

the 2 losses for the Tomcats were close games that the Tomcats were in, against 4A Kingsbury and undefeated 5-0, 5A Memphis Kirby. The tomcats could play teams like Frayser and Raliegh Egypt and be 6-0 right now but they choose to play with the big boys.

Against 3A teams this year... i dunno what is going on in practice, but if they have players not giving it their all.....bench them. They have an undefeated freshman team......put a load of them in. Guarantee they will play all out. This is time to get serious...all region games left. I KNOW they have the players talent wise to win....but it takes more than just talent. They have to mentally be prepared.
