Gallatin vs Antioch

Gallatin is looking to bounce back from the first loss of the season and Antioch is riding a two game win streak. Terrance Davis is a high powered quarterback, fast and very elusive. Gallatin's high powered offense had trouble moving the ball against Smyrna and was kept off the field for most of the first three quarters. This could be a huge scoring game and you can be sure that Antioch's coaching staff got a good look at how to beat the Green Wave. Gallatin is going to have to work extra hard this week but I bet they are not too happy about how last weeks game played out. The big playoff push starts this week.

Can't comment on last weeks game since I was in Denver...(By the way TN has better HS Football). TD gave Gallatin fits last season and I don't look for it to be any different. Gallatin will have to come out with focus and intensity to put a good team on the field. Coach Woodard will have the Bears ready to go...how will Gallatin respond?

By the way it is Woodward. But you are right, this will be interesting. Mr. Davis is always the X-factor for Antioch, and as we have seen, the offense can score. But will the defense of the Bears step up. They are giving up huge chunks of yards, and from what I hear Gallatin has a pretty good O. Tough to call this one right now, I'll be back a little later in the week with my predictions.

Last year it was the Davis to Watkins show this year it is the Davis to Gleaves show. Those two are hooking up for some huge yardage and tds. Gallatin's secondary is gonna be tested all the while helping contain Davis from running rampant. Gallatin didn't get Holder many touches last week, that has to change for the Wave to be successful. I still think this is going to be a high scoring game.

Gallatin had a tough go versus Smyrna, but somthing tells me that Antioch's D isn't on the same level as Smyrna's. Gallatin MUST hold its own on the D-line. Last week Smyrna's O line killed them all night. Lets hope the offense can stay on the field for more than 5 minutes this Friday.

I will take Gallatin in a high scoring affair.

Boy was I terribly wrong about the smyrna game. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I think the one dimensional offense for gallatin showed its ugly face the other night at smyrna. And that was the game I didn't want to happen, where we were forced to throw, having little in-game experience doing so. Hopefully Antioch will have a functioning clock, by the way. I feel that if Holder gets more carries this game (taking the focus off Cody) the run game will have a chance at moving the ball. Fact is, you can't run your quarterback 20 times a game every week. Period. Urban Meyer doesn't even do it with Tebow. I was impressed to see some no huddle. Perhaps we might see some more this week? I hope not as a last resort. Overall, the loss was probably a good thing for Gallatin. Assuredly, they will get back on track against the bears. Final Score in this one: Gallatin 33-Antioch 24.
