I hope all this smack talking on here is adults and not students/players. I have watched these two team play each other over the years and there is much respect on the field. Tyner has always been a class act to us and us them. I hope both teams play hard and show the rest of the state how tough our region is this year. If the Indians play their game and don't beat themselves, they can beat Tyner. Good luck guys!!

...The same can be said about the "RAMS"...Homecoming is very "iffy" sometimes because of all the festivities...hopefully the youngsters have put last Friday behind them...the coaches have impressed upon them that no more losses can happen by Tyner in Region 3-2A!!! We still have a shot at the Region Championship but will need some other factors to happen!!!

Tyner will run up the score on an overrated Seq. team.

I agree that Sequatchie will have to play an outstanding game to have a chance this week, but Tyner will in no way just run up the score. Sequatchie will score and if they elimanate mistakes will be in the game in the 4th Quarter. Their only loss is to a good Midway team in which they made several mistakes and gave up too many big plays to an outstanding football player in Will Poe. Outside of that, they would have had a great chance to beat Midway. So, maybe a top ten ranking is a little overrated but don't get it wrong by thinking Sequatchie is not a good football team who could play with most teams in 2A.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
