Blackman lost to Wilson Central last night 61-42. Not real impressed with Blackman. No one stands out as being a go to player. Blackman has decent guard play in my opinion but lacks post play. They don't have much size and not a very good rebounding team. They have a long way to go to not finish at the bottom of 7aaa. If coach Turnham can get this team to 5th place in 7aaa, then he should be named coach of the year cause that would be a heck of a job.

Is it serious? Will he play on Tuesday night??

Good question. I don't really know how bad it is. I just know it was injured in practice and he didn't play this past Friday against Independence.

The all insightful "SWAMI" will return Monday for his predictions on Tuesday's district games. Please!! Please !!! Try and control your emotions !!! The "SWAMI" has spoken.

I thought ESPN's Chris Berman was the "Swami". /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Very serious....Lets hope and pray for rehab and not surgery. He really bruised and tore it up. This was his year to show just how good he is and has been and now it looks as though he may not get the chance. His mother did the same thing to her knee when she was a senior in high school. She had surgery and went on to play college ball. So sad when you invest so much of your life into something and something like this happens. Torn acl

So it is definitely the ACL? That's awful. I remember when his mom tore hers{against Clarkrange maybe??? 85-86 season}. Could be a loooooong season for the Warriors now. Puckett would have no doubt been first team all District or maybe even 7AAA District MVP. Good luck with the rehab Puckett.

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
