Sir you are just another typical piece of rossview trash. Fortunately Rossview gets to get it's head beat in at all sports now. So be ready in the districts, if we play you again, be ready on the diamond, and get ready when we invade your house this fall on the gridiron. you people are the scum of the district with the way you behave. And by the way, this joke of a team just so happens to be in 1st in the district. how you like them apples?

Ok, I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you degrade a school by calling them "trash." So you're saying that everyone affiliated with Rossview is trash? Very classy sir. So calling people "a piece of trash" is good behavior, right? And how exactly can you tell Rossview to be ready in the districts? And what does football or baseball have anything to do with this discussion? And from what I can recall, you've been put out by them two years in a row in basketball in the first round of the district. Beat Rossview when it really matters, and then you can make those types of claims.

Yes I did attend the game and no i'm not some 15 year old. I am affiliated w/Rossview and I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEN. And has to what make HC a joke is b/c it's been the same thing for the last 14 years. You people are always wanting to start a fight w/clarksville schools, PERIOD! And yes one of our players did push and HC players BECAUSE the HC player RAN HIS MOUTH, when it should have been kept SHUT! Are you going to babysit these players the rest of their lives...you can't hold their hands forever.

If you think that was physical wait until we come pound Rossview in football this fall!

Wow. Has dickson improved that much or has clarksville fell off that much. I wonder which clarksville we will get tonight.

It was a solid game by both teams. Clarksville started off shooting well and got up by 12 or 14. Dickson started getting to shooters in the second quarter and was down only by two at half (24-22).

It was pretty even in the third quarter ending with Clarksville up 35-31. In the fourth Dickson was able to get the ball inside with Daniel Rial getting most of his 13 points in that quarter. That opened up the outside game with Freshman Cam Tuck hitting a 3 that put Dickson ahead for good. Chris McClurkan stepped up to hit two free throws at the end to seal the victory. McClurkan led the team with 18 points, limited his turnovers and had several steals.

Clarksville was probably the most over achieving team in the district through the first half of the season. They lack a true point guard, and a steady inside game. The two shooters--Harper and Baggett--are solid shooters, but I don't know how much they are able to create their own shot. They don't have much of a bench and so to see them lose some games down the stretch should not be surprising. Ted Young had done a great job of challenging these guys to keep CHS at a high level, and they have succeeded beyond what most could expect. I would look for them to battle for the 4 spot in the district, but could fall into 6th (if things really go south) and be a very tough out

Henry county beat clarksville in a dominating performance tonight. Was about 35 point lead when the subs came in. Clarksville did not sub and pressed to cut it to around 20. Great job tonight patriots! Get ready for a tough test with springfield thursday!!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
