OP!.........you better be careful! I heard the "boy wizard" on the Sat radio show and many went under the bus. You could be next (LOL). The Pats are a good team and they have been "fortunate" in some other games.............fortunate will eventually run out in most cases. I must admit that I was surprised to wake up and hear that score. Parity is a cruel animal .................at times!!

I dont think he really threw anyone under the bus, its just more or less frustration than anything. 1 Thing I love with Coach Mac is if there is any blame to go around, he always shoulders it, and has said so many times over the course of the season and has routinely praised the kids thoroughout the season. I dont think he is demeaning the kids at all, at least not more than they can handle. Most of the things stated in the podcast were true, nothing completely outrageous. I think Coach Mac realizes that having depth can only go so far and that at some point, experience at this time of the season more often than not trumps talent/inexperience( I think he has done a great job at getting younger kids playing time).

 

I think it is also easy to get lost in the hoopla, when just this time last year, Oakland struggled to win A region game, much less THE region championship. For all the great things that Thomas and his staff have done, it just goes to show that you cant completely fix the program in one fail swoop, it will take time for Oakland to become a force across the state. I think he has to put the QB position up for grabs as Christian showed that he is very capable of leading this offense, even as a junior

And I respect the opinion of those who feel otherwise. Id like to point out that Mac put just as much blame on himself and the coaching staff as he did with the kids. I dont see it as blantantly throwing kids under the bus, but more or less, expecting more out of them. He was probably a little bit nicer in referring to the 4th and long situation late in the game than I would have been, as there is never an excuse to give up that much yardage on 4th down.
