WaCoJaCo
Well here we go again. Screwed again by the pollsters. We've got a pretty good team at DB but this #1 rank by the AP just puts a huge target on our back. It fires the other team up and we know we'll get their best game. Then theres this Region 2 thing where theyput the best 4 teams in the playoffs than any other Region in the state year after year. McMinn Co. will be tough to beat, even at home. Hopefully, this team does not look at that stuff. IMO this DB team is looking at this game vs McMinn Co. as THE SEASON. No other game matters but this one, and a 7-6 win is a good as any score you could have. DB looked like they got through the SH game in good physical shape. I saw #52 Conley was dressed out and was as fired up in the pre-game as anybody. I heard that he will be on the field for Round 1. BatmanDB
McMinn will give DB fits.... It depends on which Dobyns-Bennett team is playing, the one that is more like DR.Jekyll or MR.Hyde.I hope we show up with the smarts of a Doctor and play like wild men. This is the last chance for many on this very fine team to wear the DB colors.A great number of these fine young men could have gone to other schools and been a much bigger fish a whole lot sooner, but have waited their turn behind those that came before.DB has had a great regular season, but now McMinn wants to send them home as a joke. It's making me mad just thinking of what their trying to do to our kids!! I don't see how our team can stand for this !! {Just kidding a little with the Jekyll and Hyde thing}.I do hope we bring our A game and Roll Tribe!! You can thank your local sportswriters and commentators; they're the ones always eager to pour the Kool-Aid. McMinn deserves a lot of credit for overcoming some early season adversity, and they seem to have done a 180 where turnovers are concerned. I suspect the Cherokees' defense will keep them in it, but their lack of a running game could be their undoing. Still, in a close game having Stansell is a huge advantage. I'll go with the Tribe! Which Tribe is that, the McMinn Co. tribe of Cherokees or the Dobyns Bennett tribe of Indians? Random question? What was the Dobyns Bennett Junior Varsity final record? I understand the Freshman team finished 10-0? Also, does anybody have any idea how the Indians boys and girls golf teams finished in the District Tournament and Region Tournament? I understand the only individual to qualify for the State Tournament, from both boys and girls golf teams, was Alex Ratliff? Neither team qualified for the State Tournament as a team, correct? Somebody help me. Thanks in advance.

Ah yes, opposed to those playoffs games when teams don't give their best game. I think the part about if they lose their season is over is enough motivation. But in all seriousness waco, who would have been your choice for the #1?
Cletus
Which Tribe is that, the McMinn Co. tribe of Cherokees or the Dobyns Bennett tribe of Indians? The ambiguity was intentional. I can't be proven wrong. Ah yes, opposed to those playoffs games when teams don't give their best game. I think the part about if they lose their season is over is enough motivation. But in all seriousness waco, who would have been your choice for the #1? I generally agree that no one gives a rip this time of the year. I realize the #1 question wasn't directed to me, but if I may, why do they even bother? The whole A.P. thing is a friggin' joke. Residing in East TN, I don't know squat about teams in West or Middle TN. Voters are the same. What I do know is that Ooltewah is about 4 TDs better than any other East TN 5A team.
