Yep...Maryville was in 4A when this thread was made. Makes a huge difference when the Rebs are in your class.Way back before that ,there was just 3 classes and a lot of schools like Greeneville and Elizabethton played in 3A.So the door opened up a bunch for good programs who would have had to be like Alcoa every year to compete back then.DB's best shots were in the years they played in 5A.Since 2009,6A is a beast even past Maryville.

WELL, WELL, WELL..... here we are again.     I doubt if any of the current DB staff or players even remember what happened in 2008, most of them are too young.     Same for MCMINN.     But some of my older DB friends still talk about it though, a game that will live in infamy.    However, the past is behind us and this is a brand new game with brand new teams.     For the record I am going DB 23-20 in this 11/13/2020 game against MCMINN, it will be a struggle but no way does DB "Clark" this game at the end like happened in 2008.      Right?!?!?

Many on the staff remember and I'm sure as young kids,a few of the players were there.You know,it was a tough loss for the kids and everyone  but it was just a game. I have to say this 12 years later.If we could go back and have all those we have lost in the past 12 years back with us .A couple that were on the staff or played on that team as well. I'd gladly relive that loss again. So, whatever the outcome of this weeks game, it's just a game.Roll Tribe !

It had to be an awesome feeling for all of the McMinn players, coaches, family and fans. I experienced a similar game a few years ago when my old team Greeneville was getting hammered by AC and came back to win. Funny thing, that's who they play this week as an underdog.

AC is favored over the GREENE?

AC very veteran, GHS about as young as you can get. GHS definitely the underdog but with a skill set that can pull the upset,

Is this game on TV or You Tube. I saw DB play Farragut and WOW what a buzz saw they scored on about every time they had the ball. Like to see the McMinn County running back to.

DB streams their home games on you tube. The Cleveland game was streamed so I'm sure this one will be as well.
