Brentwood Academy vs. Ensworth

That has to be the most interesting article posted that I have ever read on CoachT. I am amazed. It is a story worth reading, and a definite education on the history of MBA and Ensworth's relationship. I had no idea how Ensworth came about from a small k-8 school in Green Hills to what it is today.

I posted the same article a couple of weeks ago and got hammered for posting it. I thought it was insightful as to the MBA-EHS rivalry.

It is a VERY good story. I am sorry you took flack for it. I don't think it puts MBA or Ensworth in a bad light at all. MBA has a mission of educating young men, and they stayed their ground on their mission. It was Tommy Frists' decision to build Ensworth for a coed high school. There were no options in the Bellemeade area for coed with conservative views that were not based on religion. Both are great schools with different missions. I never thought of the competition for students evolved from this move for all surrounding private schools.....particularly MBA and Harpeth Hall.

sorry didn't see that you had posted it. Actually someone send me a print copy in the mail. Fascinating story. Someone had told me all about that when it was happening but I never knew it was so dead on.

Got a feeling that's not produced for public knowledge.

I'm sure it is less than that future ex-UT coach......name slips my mind right now.

So back to the subject Ensworth vs. BA.......

I here it might rain Friday night, who will have the advantage?

Traditional thinking is that rain hurts the team with more speed so a wet muddy evening would seem to help BA.
