Westview at Milan

Milan (11-0) hosts Westview (7-4) in the second round of the AA state playoffs. The Bulldogs beat the Chargers, 45-14 in week ten. Milan beat B.T. Washington, 48-12 last night. Westview won on the road at Oakhaven, 38-20. The Chargers rushed for 422 yards in that game.

Congrats to Westview on your win in the 1st round, but I think it ends here. I just don't see it being any closer than 24. I could be worse than that. Westview is well coached, they work hard, but in the end if both teams play their best game, I don't think Westview can hang with Milan for long.

I expect a better effort from the Chargers this time around. They played probably about as poorly as they could have last week. No one should take them lightly and I'm sure the coaches and kids won't.

So I think Westview will show up a bit more this week at Johnnie Hale. However, I don't think two weeks will be quite enough to knock off the 'Dawgs.

 

We need to keep our heads focused, and on straight, so we can go into the next week aganist the JCS/Huntingdon winner and pull out a win.

What is the deal? Not a word out of the Westview people . . . not so much as a protest? You gotta have something to say. It's not girls basketball season yet! Are Westview people too in shock over the UTM Skyhawks season?

Seriously, as a way outside that saw Milan in a 7 on 7 way back in August . . . whoa!
