You may but how many others don't?????

Goodpasture will have trouble running the ball I think. This is a tough physical bunch that is stout against the run. If they can't pass it, it's going to be a long night. How's that ddaddy?

papatiger, You were all bent out of shape because I joked that LC beating Waverly was a shock to me. Yet you are happy to come on here and accuse Goodpasture of being cheats and liars and deliberatley violating TSSAA rules. If you are a pastor, I'm glad I don't attend your church.

He must still be upset from the 2006 season, 34-21 is pretty hard to get over.

Could one of the GP fans tell me again what your teams record was again this year? LC was 11-0 or thats what i read in the Jackson Sun last Saturday.

GP lost 1 regional game. The other losses were one 5A team, 3A (07) State Champs, one Div II team.

Just remember the 2007 Super Bowl. Giants (10-6) Patriots (18-0)

Giants won, losses mean nothing in the playoffs.

There??™s not that much difference in the strength of this year??™s schedule. Now granted year in and year out GP plays a tougher schedule than LC because they have a very hard time getting public schools to play them. I talk to a Coffee County coach a while back and he said that they have some of the worst talent that they??™ve ever had. Also, calling MP and WC middle of the road 1A schools is unfair as well. You are kidding yourself if you think that David Martin wouldn??™t love to have a different schedule. If you have little choice in who you??™re going to play and very few natural rivals you might as well go ahead and say that he makes his schedule out ???getting ready for the playoffs???, but in really that??™s not true.

after reading this im going to change my score LC 42-0 Im going for the team that has played the tuff schedule

Well first of all yes I was bent out of shape because you made those remarks and they were uncalled for. Now as far as calling anyone cheats and liars and deliberately violating TSSAA rules, I would like to see my post that says that. You won't find it because I didn't say it. I did say they recruit and they do. You know it, I know it and everyone else knows it. That's the reason the public schools don't like having to play the ABC schools is because they have the luxury of going and finding good players and offering them (academic) scholarships. I have known several players in my past who have been approached by the ABC schools in the Nashville area about coming to play different sports. Now is this cheating, not if the TSSAA says it's not but it does give an unfair advantage to a rural school who has to play the hand it is dealt.

Now as far as coming to my church, that is definitely uncalled for. I am being honest about this, what about you?

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
