Wells fired as Blackman head football coach

They should follow Oakland's example, and try to hire one of the former coaches from the 'Dale. There are several out there that would like to come back to Rutherford county and coach together again. This method certainly helped Oakland.

Strickland can't coach unless he goes back to teaching. Principals and vice-principals are not allowed to be coaches in Rutherford County. Same reason Rankin will not come back to town, he would have to go back into the classroom.

 

Back into the classroom? All he ever did was driver's ed. anyway.

I know of a couple of coaches in Hamilton County that might fit well in that environment but I understand the coaching supplements are lower than HC.

I hate to see anyone lose their job and I definitely hate to see anyone have a heart attack but in my opinion him having a heart attack is irrelevant in this case his heart attack had nothing to do with his job performance

I think te Blaze should bring a former Lavergne coach back Juan Husted he use to coach Dline and is now coaching in Arizona was an assistant under Tom Crawford

Let me re-phrase. There are a quite a few that all they care about is the success of their kids, but they are also a good bunch of parents that I have had many a good conversations over the years with.

As long as they do not raid Oakland's Staff, they can have at it. I would have to think that Greg Wyant has to be on that list.

I know he would be interested ............. BUT the thing that Butch Vaughn did at Oakland that made such a HUGE impact was to allow Coach Mac to bring in a full staff of his CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most administrators either do not understand this or lack the cahoneys (SP?) to do so!!!!
