Well it depends on when you play them. A few years ago they were undefeated when we beat them. The kids kicked the ball off the field and the game was stopped with two minutes left. But at one point they did play home games fyi

Not sure about now but way back when they had a field (not to bad either). LA played them several times and even played at taft one year. We went up had dinner and then played the game. Yes they have had some great atheletes through the years.

Overall TYC has a winning record against Lipscomb.

 

1970: Lipscomb wins 42-0

1971: Taft wins 12-6

1972: Taft wins 28-21

 

I know the 71 game was played at Taft. In 72, Lipscomb was up 21-0 and Taft scored 28

unanswered points for the win. That game was played at TPS.

We played at Taft in the late 70's. About 77 I think. I remember the 20 foot fence between their "fans" and our bench. The inmates were right behind our bench and the smallest player on our team was trash talkin'. They first wanted to kill him, then they wanted coach to put him in the game so their killers could kill him.

Depending on what week you play them... Depends on whether they have good athletes or not.... They actually had a kid in the 90's that UT wanted to recruit but the kid couldn't stay out of trouble and he is now at the "Big House" where I work at.....

I may be wrong, but I think once in the 70s? they had a team that was 8-2 or 9-1 something like that?

The old TPS campus over on Foster Ave. is now being used by Metro as Nashville School of the Arts.
