I think the biggest part for Milan this friday is not gonna be our O line , avg about 240 lbs , or our Defense, or 6'4 240lb TE Mr Football Tyler Robinson , or 6"0 250 FB Taharin Tyson . It will be the mental part. If they cant overcome the mental part of the game they have no chance. you think im kidding but ive heard friends of mine say that playing us is all mental. were intimidating. And i think theres one part of the mental war weve got on our sides................

You all are going for your 5th state championship in school history

we are going for our 5th in a row /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

If someone from Milan could please give me some kind of ideal how big Milan is on the offensive and defensive lines. I have seen several pictures of the GP, Milan game but it was hard to tell from the pictures. Alcoa averages about 250-255 across their lines. Also what are the strengths of your defense? Do you guys have a good field goal kicker? Who knows this game could come down to a field goal or extra point? If it does Alcoa kicked off one of the best kickers in the state three weeks ago. Just a curious fan wanting to know. /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Offensive line - averages 5'10" and 218 pounds

Kicker - Jr Rick Moody - 69 of 78 PAT, 4 of 6 FG, long 35 yds

I was at the game early last week and Moody(our kicker), was kicking 45 yard-ers and had room to spare. Now I realize this isn't game situation, but he was making 45 yards solid.

Actually, I was there too and I saw him make 2 or 3 out of about 5 from 50 yards. If my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, he had the distance from 55 was off to one side though. I don't think that we are quite as big on line as Alcoa, but we do have some big boys. Luke Jackson is 5ft. 11in. and 250 lbs. Luke Postoak is about 6ft. 3in. and 195 lbs. He plays TE and DE. I know that might be small, but he is all over the field on defense. Ask the 2A back Mr. football. I'm sure he will vouch for the talent of Postoak. Cody Rogers is 6ft. 3in. and about 240 lbs. He is very strong on the DL. Avery Williamson is 6ft. 1in. 215 lb. FB/LB. He is one of our hardest hitters. I could go on and on. We have two very good kick returners. Our wide out are very dependable. Most people have heard about our tailback Gilbert. He is a strong back, but we are pretty deep at that position. Our QB is what makes us click. He is very smart, and as strong as they come at 6ft. 2in. and 220 lbs. You can chech the team out at milanhighsports.com

BCS, I have no problem with you or most of your posts for that matter. If ever there is a Milan-Alcoa thread that doesn't have over zealous fans arguing with one another I'll quit posting. Deep down we both know that this Friday our respective team will play the hardest fought and most important game they have ever played. One team will win, one team will lose, and every player will have done something most high school athletes never will; represent their team in a state championship.

As for your earlier attempt at a gentleman's wager with hufstedler; he isn't a gambler, I am. I've got a wager for you with different stakes. Coacht is sustained by advertisements, not plus memberships. Having a plus membership doesn't really afford any benefits. I have no desire to attain one nor to further yours. High school football programs, however, are not sustained by advertisements but by donations. Here is my wager:

If Alcoa wins, I will write and mail a check, payable to Alcoa's football booster program, for $20. I'll even send it to you if you assure me it will be given to the booster club. (so you'll know I upheld my end of the bet)

If Milan wins, I would expect you to write and mail a check, payable to Milan's Quarterback Club, for $20. You would have to live with the fact that you helped pay for our championship rings.

Deal?

That's a great thing too. But, I would like to support CoachT first. If you are not willing, I will then accept your offer.

Sounds like something good to add more energy to an already exciting game!

Anybody else want in!? Now's your chance to support your team!

He's probably (not 'prolly' you steakheads) running errands for his wife right now.

He will take you up on it I am pretty sure. Did you know he won the 'big ones' contest by a landslide last year?

He knows his stuff, even if he looks like the kid you beat up for milk money in grade school.

Get over it! These are just opinions. This is all in good fun, so have fun. I read this whole thread and just amazed at people who take this site so serious. We all can say what we want but non of it matters. The only thing that matters is the game on Friday. The players will decide the game on the field not on COACHT. This is just good jib jab in my OPINION. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Thanks DSM10.

Finally Someone gets it!..............Out of all the teams alcoa has played this year, most of their fans could trade punches and have a good time. Some of the Milan fans on here can dish it out........But good lord they can not take it at all!

Thats what Marion Co. Said

Marion was not intimidated at all. They played tough and they believed. Yes they lost to us, but they showed what happens when the opponent is new to Alcoa and they come in. We have to step it up in those situations and the crowd needs to get into it. Milan may not be intimidated by Alcoa but they may have a reaction to actually playing in the Boro, where as Alcoa has been there recently.
