A-Clarkrange hands down, then jackson Co and don't count out Pickett Co. They were only outscored by Clarkrange by 2 points at Clarkrange against their starters in the 2nd half. They may not beat them, but JC isn't a lock to go...

I HOPE CR AND JC ARE AS GOOD AS YOU SAY BECAUSE 14A IS COMING UP THE ROAD AND THEY ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO PLAY. WHAT 14A OR 7A HAS DONE IN THE PAST DOES NOT MATTER. WHEN YOU GET TO THE BORO ITS WIN OR GO HOME. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH

The one thing that everyone needs to remember about Millington's loss to Memphis Central is this. That was the Trojans 3rd game in less than 24 hours and their 2nd game of the day. They played Friday night at 8 pm, Saturday afternoon at 1 and then Saturday night vs Central at 6. And despite all of that, Millington led going into the 4th qtr. Central had played on Friday but not on Saturday. I am not taking anything away from Central but I would love to play them on a neutral court.

The best kept secret this year in most media papers, and etc. is the JC lady blue

devils. They had not played together as a team before, and there has been some

growing pains. They are all coming together rather fast now, beginning to believe

they may be much better, than they even expected. They have the talent

and when they get it all together, someone is going to get squashed. I have

great respect for Clarkrange, but the reason people are coming from everywhere

to see this game, is to see who is going to win. Two great teams. It is who plays

defense, and can put the ball through the net that night. That will be the winner.

They can't double up on defense, two many great players. Stay safe, and show

the Clarkrange people every respect, they will be our guests. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Uh what? They have alla came together since the Clarkange loss???? Good for them!

Not to step on any toes, but I recall in the NCAA tournament last season, Georgia had to play 2 games in one day due to a power failure the previous night. Not only did they win the second game, but the game was a blowout and their opponent had only that one game that day. Good teams find a way to get the job done without excuses. I was at that Hall Of Champions game and IMO if Millington felt as though fatigue would be a problem, instead of coming out and trying to run with Central why not slow the game down. Remember they used a slow and deliberate pace during their state tournament run last year so they can play that way effectively. Central did not play their scheduled game at noon that day because their opponent canceled. I too would love to see a rematch.

Sportsczar...I have no dog in this race so don't take this as an attack to your last post. But, the Georgia game you mentioned was at the end of the season where as the Millington-Central game was at the very beginning of the season. Game shape only gets better as the season progresses. Now I am not taking away from Central and not taking up for Millington. Just saying there is a difference in game shape from the first of the season to mid-season to tourney time.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
