How did the scrimmage with Sullivan South go, Etown people?

 

It went well. Thomas didnt play well at QB. Berry, Thomas' backup who will be a sophmore, came in and played exceptional. Birchfield and DeMoss led the recieving core. The defense struggled at first, but got better as the game went on. South is a heck of a 5A team and Elizabethton stacked up well. This should be a special year for Betsy. Has anyone else heard anything about our recievers?

the Cyclones are looking great everyone!

here is how the conf. should play out.

 

1.Elizabethton

2.Sullivan North

3.Johnson County

4.Sullivan East

5.Happy Valley

6.Unicoi County

 

 

Tell me what you all think!

 

 

I will predict that Elizabethton vs. East in Week 10 will be for the 3 Rivers Championship. Might be way off, but that's my prediction. East is returning a lot of players so it will hard for them to do anything but improve.

 

Speaking of the Patriots, I heard they will scrimmage Fulton in August.

It is gonna be an interesting season, I don't know that there is a clearcut favorite. If I had to pick a favorite I would have to say Sullivan North. I know that is going to rankle some fans who feel their team "deserves" to be at the top automatically. But North has a hard nosed physical type of offense that can take control of a game and wear a defense out.

 

 

 

I believe the new conference is called The Three Rivers Conference...I don't think people will overlook North this season. Anyone of four teams (North, East, Elizabethton, Johnson County) I feel could the title next season. There should some good matchups..

Does anyone remember the '06 Elizabethton team that was"Gonna Win STATE"? I do. 3-7!! Elizabethton will be solid this year but not State Ring material.

 

And if ol' Betsy doesn't win this year, there might be an extremely hot seat under the HC...

 

 

Great point. Everyone in the area is tired of the self glorification and illusions of grandeur that emanate from Cyclone City......

I think East will take the title, North second, and then either Elizabethton or Johnson County. I am always amazed that Elizabethton thinks so highly of themselves. They have not been very good in a long time. They may surprise me but I just dont seem them being higher than third.

 

They had a decent showing at 7 on 7 but of course things can change when there's a possibility of getting hit. If they can play that way in actual games, they should have a decent year.

I personnally don't know much about Happy Valley. Does anybody know how they are looking this year?

 

Happy Valley is very big up front and physical. Saw the scrimmage aganist West Greene. (Good Scrimmage) Very physcial footballl team!!

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
