smoothsuave
Are there going to be different colors available and heard something about a limited BCB edition?

ironman55
Anyone who works for TSSAA should have to wear a Nazi wristband.
ghouse
ghouse- You'll have to trust me on this....it won't be a big deal at all. They will easily survive one shower and two in most cases. BB BB, I will trust you. I hope you also realize my over-riding point about the necessity of it all. I will try and swing by the Bradley section to say hello. If I don't find you feel free to find me in the purple and gold bunch. I do trust all is well. Here we are having a debate about a wristband that was apparently heretofor not necessary, now all of a sudden it is. We are gonna regulate ourselves and protect ourselves all the way into the fetal position. What forward-thinking executive came up with this (read: peter principle clown), at this point in time? Wrestle, for goodness sakes, let the TSSAA take whatever cut they want, do their jobs, quit this piddly interfering. It is close to being insulting...this is the way alot of decisions are made ('that's the way Iowa does it...no, I'm not sure why, but we need to do it, too"). What the heck? And don't put any more thought into the extra security officers for "food smugglers", or for the crappy food that is offered. Message to Ronnie, now in his lame duck session (and a friend of mine dating to 1970), and the TSSAA officials, put some thought into doing something for the wrestlers and the fans, it isn't that difficult, and communicate once in awhile your constructive thoughts. Jeez! Gonavy2, You seem to get my concern with this one. Maybe it is the engineer in me that can't understand the logic behind some of these bureaucratic decisions... I hope my own management courses don't warp my view point too much! sometimes I wonder what is going on at the TSSAA. I know I will see you in a few days. Until then take care and prepare well. BlueOyster
It really is not that big of a deal. I promise.
CupCake
I usually just read the blogs and mentally digest them, but the micro chip in the neck made me laugh out loud. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I understand schools needing to "police the area," but agree that wrist bands could be potentially dangerous. As a coach of a couple of sports, I can't allow the wearing of any jewelry....isn't a wrist band like a bracelet? The officials always tell the captains (my captains) to check for jewelry. Now, I am certainly not a wrestling coach, just a fan, so I don't know what the officials are saying to the captains when they meet in the middle, but anything worn by a wrestler, besides the necessary equipment, could be potentially dangerous. They don't let the kids wrestle with long fingernails or chin stubble (dealt with that this season!), so why a bracelet that would need to be taped? I hope this decision is reversed and that all participants in the upcoming tournament are identified in some other fashion. In addition, I hope all participants can compete without injury, and my thoughts and prayers to those who worked so hard all season and, for whatever reason, can't make it to Chatt town. Wrestling is a real man's sport, and I think all participants are champions in their own right. Great post! CC
XxWRESTLExX
at nationals we had to wear wristbands and nothing went wrong, so i don't think there will be any problems with this at state...
sammyben
Since I was unable to attend. How did the wristbands work out? How many broken fingers?
smoothsuave
Actually I haven't heard of any accidents. Kind of itchy and I was disappointed by the selection: only one color, no limited BCB edition, no scratch and sniff, and no glow in the dark. I was really hoping for something a little more interesting. It was kind of funny that they wouldn't let DI weigh until they had their wristband on and on the 2nd day of weigh-ins DI & DII weigh in together. They announced DII did not have to wear the wristband while weighing in. I guess a parent with some leverage made a comment.
