REGION 4AA TOURNAMENT

This seems to be a big concern with a lot of people so I guess you're right. If you really think it's going to be that full I would make sure I was there early to see my team play. Might be a chance some are turned away but I really don't think there will be a need to. But if for some reason you don't get a seat, just hollar and I'll stand and let you have mine.

If we win tonight and that same crowd shows up Tuesday night that was at Tech last Tuesday night and none of them leave, where is the Upperman vs. Station Camp crowd going to sit? It seemed to me that we had enough people at Tech by ourselves to fill Upperman's gym! Not to be negative but I for one will not go because I know how uncomfortable it will be. I am sure there will be lots of people from the area there too just to see JJ play which will make it even worse. I'm just guessing but I would think the attendance would probably been 1000 or more higher at Tech. I can't believe T$$AA did not foresee this!

There will be a long line

waiting at the gate.

Better bring a lawn chair

if you get there late!

Good Form!

I dont think I will be allowed to stand, but you can have half of my chair like my kid did last night. It was not very comfy for either one of us though. But the offer is open.

Disappointed in that post. I could be 90 years old, on a walker, carrying an oxygen tank and I wouldn't miss my team playing!!!! I guess some people aren't as dedicated of a fan as I am and that's ok. I have given my seats up many nights so some fans could be more comfortable and will gladly do the same for you. (Honestly) If you play the first game and already have your seat (and you know you'll be early and have a seat for the first game with your own fans) why worried about Upperman and Station Camp. We all know there will be a lot of fans leaving after their team plays, heck you can't even get some of them to show up right. Hope you change you're mind on coming but either way I think we should let the negative stuff about seating go and enjoy some good basketball in the stands or on the radio.

Good Luck to All!!!!

#24-Senior-Good shooter and slasher

#54-Senior-Big and strong around the basket

#12-Senior-Lefty who can score inside and out

#00-Freshman-Good shooter-smart player

#10-Freshman-Point guard-small but handles ball well, plays hard-I really like this kid

#30-Freshmn-comes off bench-good shooter and not shy

DCA will be moving to DII next year, but there future looks bright with a strong freshman class. They are well coached.

DCA has been up and down this year due to injury and youth. They also play in 8-AA which is down this year. I don't think they can hang with LA, but I wouldn't overlook them by any means.

Thanks so much. Finally some real BB info. What about Greenbrier? Heard they're young and 22 can shoot but that's about all.

When you see my huge posterior, you'll retract that offer to just anyone. That is a generous offer nonetheless:roflol: /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

When you get to be my age and after working 8 hours, being comfortable means a lot. I seriously doubt that many people who have a seat will leave after the first game and give up a chance to see JJ play! But you are right. That is the last negative I will post! I guess I will just enjoy it on the radio!

The LA Wildcats advance to the Region Semi's after holding off a fiesty DCA club 65-46.

After trailing by one after 3 quarters the Wildcats went on a 23 to 0 run to close the deal. DCA hit a 3 at the buzzer for their only points of the 4th quarter.

LA was led by Mr. Chase Dunn with 22 points Congrats LA keep focused and continue your journey.

Upperman squeezed out a win against Greenbrier. Cant remember the score. 20 point win +/-. It got as close as 9 in the second half, but then the Greenbrier coach went and ticked off our audio guy (hs kid working the music/etc.) and it was all down hill from there. You have to know who not to tick off I guess.

Never seen a HS basketball coach rip into a HS kid working the sound before. I think he owes the kid an apology. If the kid was doing something wrong it would be diffrent. The kid didnt do anything. I wish I had seen or heard it, the apology would have happened immediately.

Been under the weather for a week or so. Didn't go to the game tonight b/c I thought we would win big. Looked sort of bad there for awhile until our boys got it together and got the job done.

Yes I saw that score and the others as well. DeKalb is playing good ball right now and we don't need to take them lightly. How many times will this make that we have played each other this year ??? I'm not a big fan of this system. And you know it's hard to beat a team 3 times much less 4. But the money's good I guess.

I plan on going to Upperman next week and hope that we can win. Plan on staying and watching JJ and the Bees. I haven't seen him play so I am sort of anxious to see what all the fuss is about.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
