Congrats to Coach McKee and the Overton players. They were a tough out the second half of the season and could play with anybody. Watch out for them in the next couple years.

I think any 4 of the teams are very capable of winning. And if you played these games twice you might have a different winner in both games. However my pick is Franklin and Hunters Lane.

Brentwood and Franklin will advance and square off for the 4th time this year. Unfortunately I don't think it's realistic that you beat your rival 4 times in one season when you're both solid teams.

Hunters Lane beat Brentwood by 2 in OT tonight, as Brentwood missed at the buzzer.

 

Franklin cruised past Maplewood by 18 earlier.

 

Both #2's make it to the region championship but then again both won the regular season titles in their respective districts.

Very young team (no SR's) who play disciplined, tough basketball.

Big time congrats to Jay Johnson and his Rebels. Some had written these guys off heading in to post-season play. All I can say is Franklin is playing for a Region title on Thursday, with a one game chance to head to the state tournament on Monday. Hard work has paid off for seniors Young, Henry, Miller-Mac, Haddix, Glover, Starnes, and Lindsey. Also have to give props to Pace coming in off the bench last night!

 

Should be a fun Region title game with Hunters Lane.

Coach Sewell does a good job with his kids, and they play very hard and fast!
