Lord Vader
James Buchanan from North Greene. Remember this team in 1A next year. LOADED!!!
Bees3268
Dodgen at Cannon County seems to be doing a good job. I agree! He is an excellent coach. Young, with alot of enthusiam and energy. Has back to back, twenty win seasons. Oh and I forgot to mention four of his starters are returning and that three of his starters are sophomores, and he has three young freshmen with so much potential. Sky is the limit for the lionettes, goodluck in the offseason and next season as well. Go Lions!!!!
33bigorange
I think Coach Helton at Columbia Academy is a very good up and coming coach. She showed she can coach up her players and handle herself in game situations. If she can continue to coach up and get some talent, I think she can bring CA up the ladder. She played alot of freshman and her 8th grader this past year, so we'll see what happens. If she can bring back all of her players I think 2009-10 could be a turning point for this program. We may see CA come up from the bottom of the heap in this very tough district. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Good luck to Coach Helton and players for next season. plateauvol
Joshua Epperson at Cumberland County is another great young coach. The Lady Jets went from 5 wins his first year to twenty this year, and he has done it with a very young team. Only two seniors and one junior. Keep it up Lady Jets! supertoe
James Buchanan from North Greene. Remember this team in 1A next year. LOADED!!! James not only is a good coach, he's a good Christian man and a class act in all my years of knowing him!
etnmom
James not only is a good coach, he's a good Christian man and a class act in all my years of knowing him! Wow what a compliment! In my opinion, a coach can't have better qualifications and is a good basketball coach in addition.
RedDevilBasketball
With a little more talent, Childers at Huntland, Helton at Columbia Academy and Miller at Culleoka. Is that Matt Miller at Culleoka? Wasnt he the head boys coach at Richland a few years back?
dirkdiggler
I don't know his name but was impressed with the job the young man at Bearden has done this year. His teams play hard and are well prepared. He might be someone to keep an eye on for the future. Ain't that the truth. He has that program rolling. Game I watched both the varsity and jv won easily. He's doing a great job.
littlerock
Don't know anything about Middle or West Tennessee, and was just came back to East Tennessee this year, but these are a few that come to mind, in no particular order; Derek Dyer (South Greene) - back in the state tournament, played harder than any team I saw John Fisher (Fulton) - won district tournament for first time in school history Johnny Galyon (M. West) - 30-2, upset in sub-state shouldn't take away from what they did Wade Wester (Cocke County) - were really good until the big girl got sick Andy Rines (Seymour) - region champions in first year Nathan Hodges (Bearden) - won a tough district and region Jason Kallenburg (Central) - decent record with no talent
