How tough is District 7-A? The other six teams in the tournament might not have made it to the sectional if they played in that district. Not saying that OS and Hampton can't beat Clarkrange, but District 7-A is by far the toughest district in the state. Heck Jackson County is sitting at home right now because they didn't bring their A-game against another district foe.

According to CoachT yall only have two and thats hampton and cloudland

 

I'd say he's counting North Greene who was ranked in the Top 10 almost all year in the human polls. They're definitely one of the best 25 1A teams in the state. I have a feeling we will be hearing much more from them next year...

District 7A is by far the toughest district to play in....The other District 7A teams have improved as the year went on....We are not the powder puff district....The powder puff district is sitting at home watch the best district 7A team play for the Single A Championship game........

In my opinion and after watching Wednesdays games, the four best teams in Class A in the state tournament were in the bottom bracket. Clark Range went unchallenged in the toughest bracket and is hands down the best team in the state. The second and third best teams in the state probably werent even in Murfreesboro, that being Bradford and Jackson County but I dont think it would have mattered.

 

Madison has beat everybody that stood in their way and is worthy of being right where they are, in the championship game. Good luck to Madison, I hope you pull the biggest upset of the year. Madison Faulkner is a player, Union University would be a great fit for her.

 

But in my humble opinion this game could be the biggest margin ever for a championship game.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
