Hampton Lady Bulldogs

Although they fell short in their quest for a state title, the Lady Bulldogs have NOTHING to hang their head over. They got no mention as contenders for any sort of title in the pre-season, and got off to a rocky 3-6 start. However, they got it turned around, worked their way through a ton of injuries and sickness, and were on their way. First, they were co-champs of the conference with Cloudland and North Greene. Then they won the district over Cloudland. Then they won the region, again over Cloudland. Then came the sectional title, over Wartburg Central. Then the incredible thing, they won the school's first-ever girls state tournament game and advanced to the final four. These young ladies have secured a place in Hampton sports history, and I can't say enough how proud I am of them. Way to go Lady Dogs!

I'll second that. INCREDIBLE job Ladies. The best coaching job I have ever seen. I am very proud to be a Bulldog.

What a season it has been for the Lady Bulldogs. Conference co champions, district champs, regional champions, sub state champs, final four at state. Plus the Lady Dawgs beat a very talented Lady Highlander team three times. Simply a phenomenal season for this team, coach Tolley and his staff. I know those girls and those coaches were disappointed yesterday at the Murphy Center but I hope they woke up this morning with a lot of pride and holding their heads up high. These ladies should have a feeling of accomplishment. Girls basketball at Hampton is traditionally a pretty successful program and this group took it to a level that no other team has before and that??™s really something to be proud of. Coach Tolley and his staff have done a great job all year. Our girls got better all year long and they play very hard and to me that??™s a credit to the coach as well as our players. The underclassmen and girls in the 8th grade have a chance to make a pretty special run in the next few years. Don??™t be surprised if another trip to the Boro??™ is in store for this program in the near future

THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON!!!!!!!!!!

GO BULLDOGS!!!!!!!!!!!

Great year for girls basketball in Hampton. This has been a super year for all of our girl's basketball teams. Girls basketball in Hampton is on the way up. With the success of our elementay and high school teams I can see the girl's programs in Hampton putting together many state bound teams. Super job Coach Tolley for a fine season. I think the girls program is in good hands. Coach Tolley should get a good crop of player for the next four or more years to come. With the players he has now and the ones coming on, I see Hampton as a true contender. Seniors, I would like to thank each of you for all the hard work you put into Lady Bulldog basketball. I wish each of you the best in whatever path you may take in life. You may not realize it now but what you take from basketball can and will help you at some time. To all of the underclass players, you now have a taste of state basketball, get in the gym, on the track, and in the weightroom. The 2010 state tournament starts today.

It would appear that success breeds expectations... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
