Congrats to Coach McMillan and Paige. He will turn that program around sooner than you think. No longer will Union get the cream of the crop in West Tennessee in my opinion. I think if Russell wants the job, it his for the taking. I do know he enjoyed being an assistant last year. Maybe the year off (as head coach) gave him renewed enrgy for the game. You have to look at it this way, whoever steps into the position will have a high task right off the start. The 3 coaches had a good chemistry with the players. Just in thru the grapevine express, NSHD will follow in Mcmillan's footsteps, leave MW and take over the GC job. The godfather, the ghost,Wescharge and other fans of Westview fans present and past are rolling over again. Its official.....

 

Coach David Russell will take over Gibson Co. once again!

 

I'm glad Coach Russell decided to step back in as head coach at Gibson Co. Definately a great coach as his history speaks for itself. He has taken Gibson Co. to the state tournaments several times, but never got a state championchip at GC as a head coach. Maybe next year will be the year for him to get one in at Gibson Co. Back to back state champs?????

ER O line will be improved from last year though. Marion is the second best team in all of 2A imo behind ER and ahead of Huntingdon.” As I said in the ER thread. Huntingdon physicality could make problems for Marion if they do meet in the state championship. ER does still have more speed than Marion as of now. I’m gonna go watch the highlights of the two transfers and get back to yall and see if my perspective has changed.

      Marion jumps Huntingdon in my preseason rankings but not ER. Upgraded at the 2 positions that ER is by far still better at.
