Station Camp

So how will Station Camp be this year? They hired a very good coach in Ricky Spivey. Did they attend any team camps this season?

Rick Spivey is an excellent coach and does a good job with his discipline. I don't understand how muffin can say that he doesn't. Their son never played for Rick. :confused:

I agree with you that he is agood coach,but do you rememberhis first high school coaching job.Ido not know if were in the school system at that time,but I followed the team very closely.And if my son had played for him,he would not have to worry about discipline,you should know that afterall you coaced him for three years.

I thought Spivey did a very good job here at Smith Co.

I'm sure he will do well at Station Camp. I don't remember anyone saying a bad word about him.

I've coached against Rick Spivey and I think he does a good job. He will do a good job at Station Camp. Just don't expect miracles in the first year.

Can someone tell me why they are not competing at the AA level this year? I heard their enrollment is almost 600, and they are playing in single A this year. What is up with that?

 

Yes, Coach Spivey will do a good job with their program.

Their enrollment is listed at 388.

That was their projected enrollment. The actual count was 530 at the end of August. The school has grown larger than they anticipated. However, TSSAA says they are not going to change this year. How fair is that?

I've heard that the teams in the region do not have to adjust their schedules to accomodate Station Camp. But they do have to let them play in the region tourney as the last seed. How fair is that?

How fair is it to those single A schools when a Double A school comes into their tournament as the eighth seed and knocks the number one seed out? If they are any good, that district should be pretty interesting to see who finishes number one regular season.
