Anyone want to take a shot at ranking the teams? It's still early and there have been several rainouts but whats your opinion? This is for all of East Tn. From the Knoxville area to Chattanooga area, all classes. If 20 is to many, give me 10. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

How do you leave North Greene out of the Single A rankings? Lost to Unaka 2-1 on errors and beat Hampton who is ranked higher. They have 8 returning players from a team that went to state last year.

Those are strength ratings, they combine won-loss record and opponent's winning percent (according to the scores that are available on here).

North Greene had four games listed for a 2-2 record, 5 scores not entered. If they're not rainouts you should add the scores:

Who wins or loses on errors has nothing to do with the ratings.

I have question .................. why did no one include the 1A class? There are two exceptional teams that have not been given a single thought.........Unaka and North Greene! North Greene was the first ever Greene County Softball team to participate in last years Spring Fling. Rumor has it they returned seven seniors! Let's give them a little credit!! Then there is the powerhouse from Stoney Creek, Unaka, who under the guidance of Ronnie Hicks has set a standard worthy of mention. So, if I were trying to do this would definitely include these two schools!!!

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
