How in the world was a LAX team formed in Dunlap? Did the Florida transplants form this squad? However it happened, I think it's a good thing. Good luck to Indian LAX.

Incongruous is the word you were looking for. I don't get the amazement but I'm a little disappointed in what seems to be a condescending attitude. (seems to be) I promise, you won't hear "Dueling Banjos" before any games here, you'll hear rap music. I also thought the article in the paper a few days ago went a tad too far in stressing "if it can be played there, it can be played anywhere" especially when the author isn't exactly from a metropolis himself.

The lacrosse team doesn't use the football field that I know of they have there own field. Two of them I think.

I'm not in any way being condescending to the Sequatchie team. I'm just curious about the history of the program. Who started it? Feeder programs? Etc.

#20 is a good ball player. #4 is good as well. they need depth and to get rid of that half man/half zone they play. their coach does a good job making sure the kids play with class under some difficult circumstances. they have potential.

Well the history is this is its 1st year.

 

The following is from an article that was in the Dunlap Tribune back in January or February.

 

A new lacrosse club is starting at the school. Since lacrosse is not yet an officially recognized sport by the TSSAA, the school will be sponsoring the club in preparation of it eventually becoming a sanctioned sport.

 

The SCHS boys team will be the thirty-first boys lacrosse team in the state and the third public school in East Tennessee; the girls team would be the twenty-eighth in the state and the first public school lacrosse program in East Tennessee.

I was wondering if I could get more info on the lacrosse team in Dunlap. My son started playing last year and we live in Marion County now and would like to be a part of it in the future. He says it is the greatest thing he has ever done. Which says a lot he has played quarterback from the age of 9 til now.

I don't have any info other than to say call or talk to the school they can give you the info.
