WarMachine73X
I paid a visit to the stadium. The field looks in better shape than it has for awhile. Good luck Friday with Lenior City! As wingman10 says "Go Jets"
jetpride6
Ok Jet fans we had lenior city at our house today. The O looked a little rocky but the lc defense was pretty good. Our D didn't look shabby its self. Letting up one big run for a score. Other than no big gains and only a couple first downs 0 scores. We threw a pick 6 on a deflection. The O moved the ball decent on the ground. I thought I was very good work for both teams.

jetpride6
tonight the Jets had thier best scrimmage of the summer. the format was 4 12 minute quarters, with a halftime in which the freshman took the field. Bowen showed extreme heart by making plays w his legs and delivering strikes w the football. the jets had the lead at the half 7-0. playing good defense and playing ball control offense. we ran the ball well, both tyler howard and bowen carrying the load. the defense had an interception and a fumble recovery in the first half. first drive of the second half bowen found brandon lindsey for a 40 yrd bomb for a score, putting cchs up 14-0. south doyles next possesion went 3 and out followed by a blocked punt by steven hill for cchs. the jets failed to capture another score on the block getting held on 4th down. the next possesion for sdhs was 3 and out. the jets got the ball back in thier own territory where they milked the clock from 3 minutes in the 3rd to 6 minutes in the 4th. the jets drove the ball deep into sdhs territory but failed to convert once again getting held on 4th. sdhs had a good drive in which they had some big runs off of missed tackles. finally taking a 30 yard scamper to the house, but missed the extra pt, making the score 14-6. the jets held the lead until the final buzzer. this was some much needed momentum gained for the jets going into the jamboree and marion co. next week. CCHS kicks off at home next friday vs Marion Co., who was a 2A semifinalist last yr, but graduated nearly 20 seniors from last yrs team. if CCHS can continue to stop the run this will give a real shot to upset Marion. come support the jets next friday ITS FOOTBALL TIME ON THE PLATEAU! powerp
Some people were wanting to know about Jasper from a SP point of view since yall play them next week so here is the run down for ya..They are going back to running the vear this year..They have two quarterbacks that will alternate more than likely Trey Hill is the better pure QB in my opinion and Corpio Brocks who is lightning quick but could be deadly in the vear system. The star of their team with out question and leader would be there running back/linebacker Nick Wells..Number 21 I think..He is a good kid and a great tough ball player..There defense is supposed to be quick however they did lose a bunch of key players last year from the D side of the ball..Key on Corpio and Nick and you might have a shot at pulling the upset..I do not know much about Cumberlands program but Jaspers is on the rise..Jaspers coach now Troy Boeck is a former coach at SP and he knows what he is doing and is very football smart..So they have a pretty good team but not a great one.
