I visited Tyler at home yesterday afternoon he is doing very well for what happened will have to have surgery to repair some broken bones under eye after the swelling goes down. He is seeing eye Doctor this morning to review how is vision will be impacted. Their may be chance that vision to eye will never get better than 60%. Tyler is a very resourceful young man and a great athlete he will overcome but lets all keep praying for his full eyesight to be restored. Thanks

Tyler was hit in the right eye by a line drive. The ball was hit so hard it came off him and went towards first. The first baseman was able to get the ball and make the out at first base. Tyler was taken to a local hospital and transported to UT. He had a small hematoma??? on his brain and possible fractures. Once at UT he has been seen by many doctors. He does have 3 fractured bones and they will do surgery one one of them soon. They are going to wait until some of the swelling goes down. They did a follow-up CT scan this morning and the hematoma is going down. There is still concern regarding his vision. He was released from the hospital tonight. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Everyone is thankful for all of the prayers. We would also like to say that Wartburg has some really great fans, players and coaches. They won to go on in the tournament. Instead of going off and celebrating their win, many of them came to the hospital. There were probably 5 or 6 players, many parents and even coaches at the hospital. It was amazing to see every Harriman player and half of the Wartburg players at the hospital for a couple of hours just waiting to see if he was okay. We are still getting calls from Wartburg parents to check and see how he is doing. It is appreciated and we wish them the best in their games this week.

Prayers from the Pigeon Forge Tigers Baseball Team and families.
