I haven't been able to see oakland at all this preseason or keep up like years past. Who has stood out this preseason? Anyone noncontributors from last year to be aware of?

Alot of the kids that played in smaller roles last year will get their chances at the starting positions this year. I think the depth will still be there this year, along with an improved receiver corps. I am really interestedto see how Schaller does at the WR position, he certainly possesses the talent to excel there. #28 Khalil Newman and #5 Devonte Swader are 2 guys that could potentially serve a key role as the season gets further along. Everybody talks about Tim McAdoo, but Austin Murray and Darius Coffey will terrorize opposing teams offensive lines just as much. Look for more of a diversified attack on offense in place from the Patriots. Maybe not a 4 wide passing attack, but just different ways in which they will attack a defense.

I have always said that Austin Murray is the most under-rated lineman in the region. I watched him as a soph and predicted great things for him. He is not only quick, but he has a solid grasp of the game. A very coachable kid and a humble one as well.

Another name that doesn't seem to get any credit is Joel Keeling. He has really come on in the last yr or so. I saw so much potential in him as a soph. That kid will knock your brains out.

    • Could be wrong just too small of a town for word to be spread.  AC didn’t get a reward school achievement and Clinton did. My guess is that started it

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
