Gordonsville played with lots of emotion tonight. SC showed up late and took it on down!! The Tigers are very improved and will give people fits. When all is said and done and pillows are fluffed, its 11 in a row and move on to week 2.

Gordonsville Tigers, keep your heads up, win one of these next two and make some noise this season.

GO BIG OWLS!!!!

I only got to see the 4th quarter, so if anyone has stats, I'd appreciate it.

From what I saw and heard(I did get to listen to bits and pieces on the radio)SC just simple executed better in the end. Gville had their chances to stop them but couldn't.

To me, it's still too early to tell who's overrated and underated. What I do know is Gville is still a young team and can use this game to grow from. However, this should get people hopes up for the next few years.

I only got to see a few plays of Gville on offense, but I saw plenty of SC. I said last week that I liked the way Silva ran the football. He runs hard everytime he touches the football and I like that. That one run he made in the 4th quarter showed a lot of drive and determination, and I think it was a tonesetter. His other carries that I saw, He was getting at or behind the line of scrimmage and was usually making the first person miss.

All in all, I'm happy with our team tonight. I really wanted a win, but if they can learn and get better from this game, I'll take it.

GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Johnston Brothers deserve some credit.

Remember I only saw the fourth quarter so I can't mention everyone.

Brandon Johnston, especially on the play where he broke away from a sack and ran for a first down.

I think this game says alot about the coaching staff at Gville, considering that both teams are pretty much the same as last year.

I think now that they have a full year under Marshall, the program will get better by leaps and bounds.

Hey Croz I believe you had a post over on the DeKalb thread commenting on our team Defense. After this fridays game, make sure you get back with me and let me know how your Gordonsville Defense did against Smith Co..

Now dont forget, i am D1 and will be over on the DeKalb thread and the 8AA thread. Cant wait for the update.

I think Gville didn't do bad on defense only giving up 14 to SC's offense.

I'm going to have to go over to the other thread and find this guy.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
